Countdown to Sean Cody #1000 Part 4

Thanks to TWO interconnected video releases this week from Sean Cody we're inching that much closer to the site's 1000th video. Video #989 Cameron & Jake was accompanied by #990 Cameron & Jake: Behind The Scenes and together they give you a pretty good representation of the site, both in front of the camera and behind--in more ways than one

Cameron & Jake is not a pivotal video or a milestone since both guys have appeared on the site before and neither is doing anything they haven't done before. Jake has actually gotten up there in the number of videos he's done for Sean Cody---this weekend's releases bring him up to 28 (second to both Harley & Kurt at 29 videos). So you get a very good idea of how popular the versatile Jake is with the site. Cameron is still a newbie, and a quiet one at that and while his guy on guy experiences here have only been as a bottom he identifies hiself as straight (along with Jake).

In this week's two videos you get a pretty accurate picture of Jake, so named because of his passing resemblance to Jake Gyllenhaal. Jake has somewhat of a goofy outgoing personality who likes to act up for the cast and crew. He's a bit less funny than he thinks he is probably because he's not as subtle as some of the guys who cut up for the camera. He's also probably more bisexual than he'll admit but why quibble. Like several other Sean Cody guys Jake is very body conscious and has gotten bigger since he first started.

Cameron is also noticeably bigger since he first started and while we doesn't get as much info about him we got a few hints. In the main video he really does seeem like he's getting roughed up but in the "behind the scenes" video he seems to be taking it in stride. Could be he's more of a performer than we give him credit for. The kissing with Jake is still a little awkward but the heat of their fuck session is very, very hot.

We dont know if Sean Cody was the first to feature "behind the scenes" videos but they are fascinating and fun to watch here. For one thing it's probably the closest you'll get to seeing the models as they really are. There's also all the stuff that seems to be going on at the Sean Cody set. It's an elaborate set for sure and a lot of work goes into the designs & layout. There have been so many design changes that you have to wonder what the budget is like. Even though we don't see the directors or crew we do hear them in these videos and see how their rapport with the models is so crucial. This has been the case since the beginning when Sean Cody seemed to be doing much of the work himself. No matter who he's had working for him the SC style has carried through seamlessly.

Coyote Point: New From Joe Gage & Titan

We look forward to every new Joe Gage movie but this week's release Coyote Point from Titan Men looks particularly good--and a bit of a departure for the legendary director. For one thing it's a period piece. Also, this time the non-urban setting which Gage seems to love, takes place in the desert. Plus, the story also involves the military and it's been awhile since Joe Gage had this motif in one of his films (although he does love the cops!)

Coyote Point takes place in 1953 in a small town near Las Vegas and apparently close to a military base too. So you can imagine there's probably lots of closeted homsexuality & furtive longings abounding here. Fortunately there's also an "infamous house" nearby where like-minded men can fulfill their hidden sexual desires. As with other recent Titan releases Coyote Point has reduced the number of sex scenes to three but has increased the length of each scene.



The first scene is one of those time-homored sex fantasies---the kid who cleans up his hunky neighbor's yard and gets rewarded with some hot sex. In this scene Luke Cassidy in the "helpful" young man while David Anthony is the hot-to-trot neighbor. Anthony seems perfect for the role since he has those timeless movie star handsome looks. The scene apparently is only an oral one (we can't be sure) but these two show up later at that secluded house we mention.

  The action moves to a nearby garage where studly military man Scott Campbell and cop Dakota Rivers have a steamy encounter. If you like men in unform Joe Gage has seemingly provided you a double dose here. Interesting to see Dakota Rivers in a Titan movie--seems like a good fit.



The third scene seems to be the big one with lots of perforjmers & lots of action. Military studs JR Matthews and Tyler Saint apparetly aren't getting any action from their dates so they head to the "deserted house near the town's own version of Lover's Lane". Awaiting them are the aforementioned David Anthony & Luke Cassidy and the big mushroom headed cock of Slade. From the trailer it looks like there's a lot of changing up of sex partners here.

Of course we think that the entire cast is pretty damn hot but it will be especially interesting to see Gage direct JR Matthews again. The exceptionally sex-looking Matthews finally got some extended dialog and character development in Gage's Battle Creek Breakdown so we're eager to see more of that here in Coyote Point.

Steven Daigle XXXPosed: The Review

From the moment it came out that Chi Chi LaRue had signed reality star Steven Daigle (from CBS’ Big Brother) to do a gay porn flick it seemed obvious that this special & unique circumstance would require an out-of-the ordinary production. That’s exactly the result we found in Steve Daigle XXXPosed. Director Chi Chi LaRue has concocted a tasty morsel here that’s part faux documentary & part satire, loaded with a very sexy cast (including some welcome surprises), and topped off with some crazy hot sex scenes. Most importantly, and we say this without exaggeration, a very hot instant porn star is born in the person of Steven Daigle.

Steve Daigle XXXPosed is actually a fun film within a film within a film. Told in partial flashback, Chi Chi has in her possession a sex tape featuring the reality star. At the same time Chi Chi is in production on her latest sex flick and the filming of each hot scene unfolds before the viewer’s eyes. All this culminates in a "present time" sequence when a VERY pivotal sex scene is shot to complete Chi Chi’s "fictional" production and Steve Daigle XXXPosed. As such the lines are blurred between reality & fantasy and it all works very well.

Right from the start of Steve Daigle XXXPosed you’ll see this fantasy/reality play mix out. At a noisy & somewhat chaotic dance club how a hand held video camera captures some of the action including Jeremy Bilding coming on to go-go boy newcomer Jimmy Durano. It turns out Steve Daigle is the amateur videographer and when takes a bathroom break he hands the camera over to Jeremy . Jeremy & Jimmy both follow with camera in hand and all three slightly sloshed & horny guys crowd into a bathroom stall for an uninhibited three-way. The dizzying footage is part hand held camera and part "surveillance camera" footage without music—only the voices of the guys carrying on. Even though it’s not really a spur-of-the-moment sex tape it looks totally realistic thanks to the fact that the camera changes hands several times & the composition looks amateurish.

Naturally we’ve seen plenty of Jeremy Bilding in action before and we’ve seen Jimmy Durano before too so the question mark is Steven Daigle himself. Given the flavor of the scene it’s really hard to tell much but Daigle looks great & performs as though he’s been doing this for awhile. It’s a tantalizing introduction to Steven Daigle but if you’re a little distracted by the claustrophobic look, don’t worry….there’s more Steven later.

After the scene there’s some buzz on the set of Chi Chi LaRue’s latest movie that the director has the sex tape and may release it. But work goes on and we next see Johnny Hazzard & Paul Wagner performing on the set. Talk about a hot scene that has just about everything you want in porn. There’s kissing, sucking, & fucking and it’s just loaded with chemistry & passion. Physically the two guys don’t look like they match up but in action they really do. Johnny Hazzard still maintains the good boy/bad boy persona while Paul Wagner has that no-nonsense serious & masculine demeanor. They play off each other very well. Once again we are very impressed by the natural quality of both performers.

Back on the set of some cowboy scene Josh Griffin is waiting around for his scene partner and Chi Chi is seen talking on the phone with an unidentified caller. There’s an undercurrent of trouble on the set and Chi Chi seems to be making contingency plans . This little non-sex scene may seem pointless but it does act as a good bridge and it adds that aura of heightened reality to the whole thing.

Meanwhile another sex scene is shot, this one featuring Slade as the school teacher/coach , playing with himself in his classroom and caught in the act by his jock-strapped pupil Brandon Lewis. While Slade jerks off furiously with his eyes closed Brandon walks in and starts sucking off the mushroom-headed "teacher". The two guys do just about everything on the desk chair and on the desk—it’s a super hot & sweaty flip flop fuck scene with each guy getting pretty worn out. Given that this is a scene within a scene things are pretty loose & easy but both Slade & Brandon Lewis give it their all. As with the previous scene there’s an interesting dynamic going on here. Brandon Lewis has come a long way in a very short time as a very natural performer. He’s a lot more serious and focused here thanks in part to those same qualities Slade has always had.

Finally, Chi Chi comes to Josh Griffin and tells him there’s been a change in his scene—his partner has been replaced with Steven Daigle. Wearing his cowboy hat Daigle looks like he just he did when he first made the scene on Big Brother with some obvious differences. Interestingly Steven doesn’t play the guy getting seduced in this scene. He’s the passionate aggressor, on top of Josh Griffin, kissing him fully (and he sure looks like a great kisser too!) If you didn’t notice it in the first scene you’ll see here that Daigle came prepared for his first movie.

He’s got a tight-muscled and very hot body that looks great from every angle—and you’ll definitely see all of those angles here. Before long, both guys are naked and Steven is sucking on Josh for all its worth. The two guys do change positions but even when Steven is getting blown he isn’t lying back passively. This dynamic performing style is very welcome----and a nice surprise considering that Steven Daigle was a bit more staid when he was on BB. This verbal, hot & sweaty performer goes full force when Josh Griffin is fucking him and it’s almost shocking (in a good way) to see Steven Daigle in a whole new way. Of course we still think of him as this very nice guy with a very sweet smile. However this scene and Steve Daigle XXXPosed shows that being the nice guy and the hot uninhibited sex machine are NOT mutually exclusive.

Countdown to Sean Cody #1000 Part 3

Continuing our spotlight on Sean Cody as the site nears its 1000th video today we take a look at this week's video #988 featuring the debut of Nick. This Northern California native is tall, handsome, lean & enviably ripped and has a passing resemblance to David Taylor from his earlier porn appearances.

Talk about perfect synergy! This week one of our favorite sites Real Guys Exposed released its recently shot video with one of our fave stars Colby Keller and it's obvious to us that this was one of the most perfect outlets for this tall & handsome star. As we mentioned before Jack Manly was on hand for this video & photo shoot at Real Guys Exposed so we knew how hot the video would be. That said, the final edited video is even more of a treat than we anticipated and if you don't already have a major crush on Colby Keller you will after seeing this video.

As we've mentioned many times before Real Guys Exposed is more than just another online video site featuring hot guys getting off for the camera. As for the sex in the video we still find it surprising that Colby Keller is as shy as he is because he seems so natural & open sexually to the point that he gets a little verbal towards the end of his video.

Snickers Divas!

   Chalk up another winning commercial from Snickers! We all loved seeing TV icon Betty White in that Super Bowl Snickers ad (see below) which again showed why her appeal is timeless. Now Snickers has struck again with another just plain awesome commercial:



   We don't know if the divas (and gay icons) that appear in this commercial will get as much career traction as Betty has (she's confirmed to be a guest host of SNL soon) but it sure shows these two have a sense of humor about themselves. It shows once again that a true icon is one who pokes fun at their image.

Cruz News

Thanks to our busy bud Steve Cruz it seems we are never at a loss for words when it comes to news. Thankfully he's taken some time in between projects (and during) to tweet & blog and fill in fans on what's going on.

Because this is a time-sensitive bit of news we should mention right from the start that the Steve Cruz/Bruno Bond website Hard Friction will have a LIVE show this week on Thursday March 11 at 8PM Pacific. Both Steve & Bruno are hosting and presenting live adult entertainment. They'll also interviewing Derrick Hanson with the possibility of this sexy guest star getting into the act too. This show is actually one of the MenLive shows which now moves to this new time slot.

Incidentally Steve has been very busy in the editing room working on the next Hard Friction DVD. Steve has mentioned on more than occasion that this second compilation surpasses the first one. Having seen & reviewed the first DVD we can tell you that's saying quite a lot. Coming up on the site is rising star Trent Diesel (March 18) in his first screen test and Steve with Tony Aziz (March 25) who is one of the stars of
Tales of the Arabian Nights.

As mentioned before Steve Cruz is now the official principal videographer for Raging Stallion and you'll soon see his work both in front & behind the camera in the aforementioned Tales of the Arabian Nights. As a reminder the 45 minute behind-the-scenes featurette starts airing exclusively at Hard Friction on March 18. It's being shown in two-parts and will be part of the movie's 5-disc collection.

Right now Steve Cruz is in production on the next Raging Stallion tattoo-themed flick. The movie is untitled as of this writing and we're not sure that it's following in the tradition of the other tattoo videos Ink Storm & Ink Stain (originally produced by Jake Deckard's Screaming Eale XXX Productions). So far the film features Alexsander Freitas, Adam Killian, Drake Jaden & Santino Vega. In fact Killian, Jaden, & Vega just filmed this week. It would seem a natural for David Taylor to be in this one too but so far we haven't heard if he's doing anything right now....

Playgirl Gets Their Nude Celebrity: Ronnie Kroell

Playgirl has finally gotten a celebrity to show it all off! He's Ronnie Kroell, the runner-up from the first season of Bravo's Make Me a Super Model. Of course readers of this blog (and followers of the Bravo show) recall that Ronnie was the very popular and handsome, sweet & sexy openly gay contestant who had a "bromance" with fellow contestant Ben. Ronnie almost won the competition (determined by audience votes), coming in a close second to Hollie. Ronnie was talented to be sure but you can't discount a huge gay voting block that almost provided Ronnie Kroell with the win. We venture to say that this block probably was one of the reasons why Bravo did away with the audience voting angle.

In spite of coming in second Ronnie Kroell still obtained a modeling contract and moved to New York to continue pursuing his career as well as remaining politically active. His popularity certainly hasn't waned either given the fact that his personal Facebook page reached the limit of followers so he had to create a fan page version. So, congratulations go out to one of our own who has the balls to reveal all for the camera.

This story is pretty ironic all around when you think about it.

Here you have a gay man coming to the rescue of Playgirl, billed as "Entertainment For Women" even though we all know that it had a huge gay following as a print magazine. After the magazine killed its print edition early in 2009 it still maintained its online edition--which continues to this day. Then late last year Playgirl got a big boost when it announced it had signed Sarah Palin's favorite ex-future son-in-law Levi Johnston to do a celebrity centerfold. There was lots of anticipation for this and the public interest was such that Playgirl hinted that they might put out a special print edition of the magazine and if this did well they might go to a quarterly.

Well we all know how THAT turned out. Levi didn't show everything and though he's still enjoying a few extra time on his "fifteen minutes of fame" s Sarah's foil his gay appeal certainly has diminished. This little saga did provide some inspiration for a gay porn parody, Jet Set's March flick Getting Levi's Johnson.

In spite of this minor debacle Playgirl didn't give up and sought out another celebrity to do a centerfold and this time would feature full frontal nudity. The names that were thrown out there were infamous if nothing else. There was ex-football player & "dog-lover" Michael Vick and reality show lothario Jon Gosselin. Even though neither was signed it's likely that the magazine got a fair share of negative comments over the prospects of these two.

So, here we go again. Will Ronnie Kroell boost Playgirl? Will it help HIS career? Time will tell.

News Round-Up

Once again we have another collection of news tidbits from the past few days and weeks. Plus what has often become commonplace when we do these news round-ups we've got an entirely separate update coming up thanks to busy-as-can-be pornster Steve Cruz.

Get well wishes go out to legend Chi Chi LaRue who tweeted yesterday that she was getting a little nip 'n' tuck or as she put it "I'm off to have my face snatched!!!" Yes, Twitter is everywhere...the dear thing even used it in post-op! The porn diva doesn't seem to be in much pain and we assume that she'll be back on her feet rather quickly--there's a new movie ready to roll.

The next movie for Chi Chi LaRue is the third Steve Daigle flick. No word on the title or the cast just yet but that should be revealed shortly. In the meantime his first movie Steve Daigle XXXPosed is available now and we should be reviewing it this week. The next movie is Steven Daigle Stalked and it's due out next month (?) and it looks like there will be a premiere party at MJ's in Silverlake. Speaking of personal appearances every year here in LA the Museum of Television has its William S Paley Festival honoring current & classic TV shows. Participants include cast members, producers, writers, etc and the evening includes a panel screenings, etc. This year one of the shows honored was The Vampire Diaries, created & produced by Kevin Williamson. Well, guess who Williamson's date was? Yes, new porn celebrity Steven Daigle.

Another porn celebrity who also started out on TV is retiring from the adult biz--Kirk Cummings. As you recall he was on American Idol several seasons ago and was mocked pretty brutally. After that he got into porn while continued with his music. Well, he's just announced that he's officially quitting the biz and devoting his time to his music, under his real name Zach Mackensie.

Returning to the biz is Dean Monroe. He's back in front of the cameras after a two-year hiatus (WOW) and you'll soon be able to see him at the always hot UK Naked Men.

Twin Peaks 2

Well, that's didn't take long. Last week when Corbin Fisher introduced Luca (formerly known as Jesse from Frat Men) the site mentioned his twin brother (who was also at Frat Men as Jesse) and strongly hinted he might show up here too. Lo & behold this week Corbin Fisher introduced Liam, the straight twin. Where this will lead we don't know, but the possibilities are very tantalizing.

At Frat Men the twins were at times hard to distinguish from one another because they often had the same length hair and style. Of course this added to the mystique---and confusion. So, gay twin Jesse grew his hair out while straight Joshua kept it short and they've carried this difference over to Corbin Fisher. In fact the two have seemingly worked even more on distinguishing themselves. Luca still has the longer hair of the two and Liam's shorter hair also seems a shade lighter. Both guys have very sexy lean muscled bods but Liam is just a bit tighter and more muscled. It's not a super-big difference but it is there.

Actually we can say where we think things will go here, at least at first. Luca is obviously more likely to have scenes with the other Corbin Fisher models right off the bat. Liam is apt to appear at the straight site Amateur College Sex first and if he does do guy-on-guy scenes chances are he'll be eased into it. It may be a bit harder to get the brothers in a video together and even if Corbin Fisher accomplishes it don't expect to see the brothers getting intimate. Stay tuned...

Sean Cody: Countdown to 1000 Part 2

As we mentioned before we're counting down to the Sean Cody 1000th video with a look at the newest videos that precede this milestone. As we spotlight these videos we can't help but notice how much the site has evolved and yet kept its identity over the years. There are quite a few reasons why Jack Manly has loved Sean Cody since first discovering it almost 700 videos ago (before this blog even began) and as we count down we'll be going over these reasons.

The newest Sean Cody video (#987) Kyle & Jonah Flip Flop features two guys who definitely give credence to the Kinsey scale. While each guy has identified themselves as straight you wouldn't know it from the videos they've done here. Plus each of their back stories reminds us of one of the reasons why we like the site (more on that in a bit). Jonah has become something of a star here at Sean Cody because he is a natural--he seemingly has no qualms about taking any role the site asks him to take. Top or bottom? Why don't mind if do! A little light bondage? Sure, why not! Letting an 18 year old stud give you your first topping? Bring it on! This laid back attitude doesn't mean Jonah is dull in bed--anything but! But it does come in handy when with Kyle, who looks more than just a little nervous about his first man-on-man scene at the site (his later scene with Jesse actually was released earlier). Jonah doesn't get rough with Kyle but he doesn't hold back either. Plus, if you believe Kyle this scene marks the first time he's done any full-on kissing with another guy.

This leads into one of the reasons we like Sean Cody. The site doesn't make up back stories or bits for the models--the guys provide their own. Sean Cody merely acts as a conduit without overtly calling out any lies or exaggerations the models are using in their bits. Sure, the site will express doubt if a guy says he's bi, but it's expressed in a "wait & see" manner. Now it's really hard to believe that a straight guy would openly admit to fashion industry operations but that's what Kyle does in his first boo. Compare that to his nervousness on his first pairing and you've got one enigma on your hands.

As for Jonah he's got that metro-sexual thing going on which always has a tendency to cast doubt on one's sexuality. Add to this the fact that he got married & divorced at a young age. It wasn't a pleasant experience for him so he's totally turned off of marriage. So, without saying anything Sean Cody leaves it open to viewers as to whether or not he's gay and doesn't know it, or in the closet, or fibbing, etc. Time will tell.

Mitchell Rock Workin' It Out: The Review

You might be more than a little disappointed to learn that Mitchell Rock: Workin' It Out isn't all about the tattooed bodybuilder and Channel 1 exclusive. While it's true that the Mitchell Rock footage IS all-new (and very hot) the rest of the DVD is a compilation of other previously released video scenes. That said, this archived footage is well woven into the Mitchell video and it consists of some very hot scenes that are definitely worth viewing again and/or owning. More importantly the Mitchell Rock video footage amply demonstrates why this handsome and beautifully sculpted man was signed in the first place.

Actually the star of Mitchell Rock: Workin' It Out is an enigma. He truly is spectacularly well-muscled, handsome, and seemingly not shy about showing off his body or getting off for the camera. In contrast Mitchell Rock is also a man of few words when on his own. We've seen this stoicism in his workout/muscle worship videos and you'll get plenty of that here. When Mitchell is paired with one or more guys he is still pretty quiet but he also becomes a passionately sexual beast and the energy and heat of his scenes goes through the roof. You'll see this side of Mitchell Rock too because in this extra length scene he also gets paired up with one-time boyfriend Adam Killian. It's a super-hot gym fantasy sex scene that we guarantee is packed with a heavy dose of chemistry that can't be faked.

Mitchell Rock: Workin' It Out starts out with our star working out shirtless, concentrating on pump as he lifts and then flexes. The scene shifts to a shower when the incomparably hot Colton Ford is jacking in the shower. Here's one naturally sexy guy who obviously loves to show off and who can tell he gets off on being watched. This is one of those essential rules for solo porn and Ford really knows his stuff. When he flashes that all-knowing smile, you're done. We don't know where this scene is from but it's a keeper.

When we return to Mitchell he's doing leg raises and before you know it we're watching a darkly lit scene featuring two of the hottest muscle studs that graced gay porn--Billy Herrington & Tom Katt. It's a climactic scene from Conquered which is rather timely with the current cable TV series Spartacus airing right now. It's not super-eential to know that Herrington is a gladiator & Katt is the Roman slave that adores him. This pivotal scene was also a milestone because after he tops Tom Katt, Billy Herrington gets topped for the first time on camera.

Back to modern times Mitchell Rock is flexing between sets when shirtless Adam Killian pops in to spot the muscled star. As weights are lifted and muscles get pumped up we segue to an equally muscle-engorged scene from Playing With Fire 3. Sean Cody was this blogger's first experience with online video sites (even before Jack Manly came into being) which is why we hold it such regard. You know how it is--you always remember your first.

As many of you know Sean Cody wasn't the very first site of its kind but almost ten years after it began it still stands out among the hundreds of websites that have sprouted up over the years. We'd really be hard-pressed to think of any examples where Sean Cody mimicked another site or followed a trend because the site has simply followed its own course. In past blogs we've spotlighted many videos and models (some of whom have gone on to become stars) so writing more about Sean Cody is a piece of cake.

Of course we're hoping that Sean Cody has done something special for its 1000th video but even if it doesn't we'll still be making a big deal about it. Aside from some SC-themed blogs we'll be taking a closer look at all the newest videos leading up to the milestone episode. Maybe from these we can determine or at least get a clue as to what the site has planned.

We start our video countdown with #980 & #981 Lane & Troy and Lane & Troy: Behind the Scenes. In a way both of these models are excellent representations of the "Sean Cody" types. As you might guess from the title the theme of this sex flick is losing one's job--which may strike you as a not-so good idea for escapist, boner-inducing porn given today's economy. That said, it all really works thanks to some of the most rough & tumble, surprising and uninhibited scenes and performances we've seen in a while.

The action all takes place in a warehouse business that has unceremoniously laid off some employees and with the threat of more firings there's quite a bit of anger & anxiety permeating the workplace. This mood is captured in all the scenes and acts as a catalyst for the sexual encounters that you'll see here. While this backstory interconnects each of the four scenes in Laid Off you can enjoy them all independently of one another.

You don't have to wait long at all to see this balls-to-the-wall tone in Laid Off. In the very first scene Dean Tucker & Ari Silvio are none-too pleased to be sealing and labeling packages on what seems to be their last day on the job. Dean Tucker loses it completely when security guard Christian Wilde strolls into the room to make sure the guys aren't stealing anything. Tucker decides to go out with a bang by really giving Wilde something to look at. He force feeds his cock to fellow worker Ari and before you know it Tucker is fucking him on the table---all for the benefit of Christian Wilde who beats his meat at the site of the private sex show. The sex-charged employees invite Wilde to join in and it turns into a verbal & wild romp that may require you to adjust your volume. In the final scene executive Andre Barclay takes blue collar employee Matthew Ford to task and Ford flips his lid. He not only calls out Andre but he becomes his sexual boss.  Ford is in total domination mode and Barclay can do little but take on his new role as "bitch". Even when he knows he won Matthew Ford continues to verbally brutalize Andre Barclay and bark out orders. Eventually Ford fucks his boss on the desk until but are spent. The extended scene here, not available on DVD, includes a fisting sequence where Ford gives it hard to Barclay to really show who is now boss.Were it not for the fact that Barclay is known for this kind of play in his other movies this might be a very shocking scene. Nevertheless the scene isn't for everyone so you may want to wait for the tamer DVD version.

All the scenes in Laid Off are well shot and the fact in was filmed on location in some real warehouse business certainly adds to the sense of realism. The drawback to seeing this movie scene by scene rather than as one disc is that there are no credits. But, thanks to a trailer posted on YouTube we learned that Laid Off is co-directed By John Bruno & Erik Rhodes. We couldn't tell you if each of these talented men worked solo on separate scenes because this really seems like a successful collaborative effort. While there's nothing genteel or romantic about the sex here it's not passionless or mechanical either. In this regard you can see Erik Rhodes' influence on the way the movie plays out. It gives you a hint of what's in store for his FIRST solo directorial job, the upcoming Rhodes Rule's.

Jason Crystal....Returns?

You remember Jason Crystal, don't you? This week a new Jason Crystal video was released on the Colt Studios website. It's a solo video from the upcoming DVD Heads Up--Minute Man vol 33, from which one scene featuring Danny Drake has already been released. It's probably hard for you to imagine Jason Crystal in a Colt Studios production but as you can see from the preview pics he's been spending his time away from the camera working on his body. Get Off With Laid Off

Even though the DVD version of the new Mustang movie Laid Off hasn't yet been released we have been able to see all the scenes thanks to Dixzar, the new "download to own" service that Falcon has been using (we'll be posting our review shortly). Of course FalconXXX members can still watch streaming scenes for no additional charge but not all of Laid Off can be viewed at the site yet. In addition Falcon members who aren't so impatient can purchase the DVD for considerably less than downloading all the individual scenes from Dixzar. When all is said & done it's nice to have these various options, especially for those who just wanted to see certain scenes or performers.

When it comes to Laid Off you might curse at theyou'll se options, especially if you're an indecisive type. After all, the movie is loaded with hot match-ups with performers like Colby Keller, Conner Habib, Alessio Romero,Christian Wilde, Andre Barclay, Matthew Ford, Ari Silvio, Dean Tucker, Clay Towers, & Girth Brooks. Frankly, even if we weren't going to review the movie we'd still want to see the whole thing to see all these guys. And now that we have seen the whole movie, we think it's worth the effort.

Most of the performers in Laid Off are probably very familiar to you and have been mentioned here at Jack Manly many times recently. As you'll see when you read our review these guys make an extra effort and as such you'll probably be seeking out their other video appearances. The one guy we wanted to spotlight here is Clay Towers, a newcomer who coincidentally is appearing in two videos this week. Online retailer TLA made the news the other day when they announced the nominations for their first gay porn-themed TLA Awards (see here) and of course this was widely reported on blogs, the gay porn press, etc. What wasn't reported as much was that TLA also announced the nominations for the more expansive Gaybies Awards, honoring the best gay-themed films, televsion, literature, etc of 2009.

As with the TLA Awards the nominees were selected by the knowledgeable staff at TLA, the online voting is open to everyone, and you can vote as often as you wish. It's not exactly scientific nor will it be immune from ballot-stuffing but both awards presentations do spotlight many people, movies, books, etc that might otherwise have been overloooked. If you're wondering what the Peters Twins from Bel Ami are up to these days, you'll be happy to know that there's a new video and several more on the way. It's obvious that Bel Ami has struck gold with the brothers and they're making the most of it. You could also reasonably assume that the wild public interest in the Peters Twins has given other studios & sites the idea to follow suit, albeit less explicitly--more on that in a bit.

Bel Ami released the third in a three-part video following the brothers on their recent trip to Ft Lauderdale. Described as a "home movie" the brothers use their own hand-held video camera to capture another hot session in what looks like their hotel room (the first two-parts featured them training for their dance show and taking a tour of Florida). In case you didn't know the twins also have their own mini-site where you can see all their pics & videos. Bel Ami created it as a place where fans can easily access all their material---and it's completely free to all Bel Ami members.

Plus, as we mentioned yesterday Jack Manly paid an on-set visit to one of our favorite new sites and meet one of our favorite stars. Yep, an amazing couple days.

As we said above former Big Brother reality star Steven Daigle came back to LA (he lives in Texas) to film his second film for Chi Chi LaRue just as his first flick Steven Daigle XXXPosed has begun streaming at the Channel 1 website. The new movie is Steven Daigle Stalked and Chi Chi has given Steven a stellar cast to work with. Today the cast included Steven Daigle, Alessio Romero, Tyler Saint, Rod Daily, Drew Cutler, & Tommy Defendi. From the enthusiastic tweets we read all day it sounds like it was a wild day of filming. Let's put it this way, there were no genteel or romantic scenes--it was hot all the way.

The second day of filming on Steven Daigle Stalked begins Tuesday morning with a three-way with Steven, Adam Killian, and....LEO GIAMANI! Yes, that's right, Leo really is back working again. Last week when we reported he was working of Falcon's 200th film (in a scene with Tommy Defendi) we were still left wondering what was next. Thanks to an e-mail press release from David Forest who is now representing Leo Giamani we got a better picture of what's in store. Leo has two more movies coming from Falcon--the one we just mentioned and one more. It seems that Chi Chi & Falcon worked out a deal where Leo could do this new Steven Daigle feature before his last Falcon movie (all an assumption on our part). By the way Leo has indeed finished his run at Randy Blue so you won't be seeing any more videos appearing there. David Forest mentioned that there are more film roles down the road for Leo as well as live appearances. This is something new for the superstar and fans won't have to wait long to see it happen. This Friday March 5 Leo will star at Joseph Patrick's "Dirty Sexy Party" at Goodhandy's in Toronto.

Naturally, we'll keep you posted on more Steven Daigle Stalked news as well as upcoming videos and live appearances for Leo as they become available.

On Sunday, Jack Manly had the wonderful opportunity to visit the set of fab site Real Guys Exposed at the invitation of site host & great guy Robert Chandler. And what a time to visit! Real Guys Exposed was shooting super-hot Colby Keller! Jack Manly was there to see Colby's photo & video shoot and was privileged to take quite a few exclusive shots of the tall, handsome & well built star. We even got a chance to ask him a few questions for our site. You'll soon be seeing our pics soon at Jack Manly and very shortly you'll be able to see Colby Keller at Real Guys Exposed. He really is as sweet, intelligent, and super-sexy as we imagined (probably moreso) and you'll be able to see that for yourself at Real Guys Exposed.

Colby Keller was in town shooting for another big site (we don't know io we should say) and he had a scene with someone that he's worked with before. In fact both of these guys appeared at Sean Cody before. In fact Colby wants to go back there for the site's 10th anniversary! 1st Annual TLA Awards Nominations!

You can add one more to the list of awards given out for gay porn! This year TLA has announced the nominatons for the first annual TLA GAY AWARDS. As you probably know TLA has one of the biggest online retailers of GLBT & adult movies, books, magazines, etc for several years and made the decision to give out its own awards in the gay porn category. The staff put together a list of nominations in a variety of categories, some standard others a little more offbeat, and TLA posted them up today here. Voting is open to the public through midnight on March 31 and there's no limit to your votes cast.

Jack Manly is happy to see some of our favorite films and performers on the list of nominees and excited for our friends in the biz who haven't gotten recognition. We still think there were some glaring omissions but that's just the nature of making nominations--someone is bound to get left out. The winners of the TLA GAY AWARDS will be announced on the site April 15. Here then are the nominees:
