Rough Gods Meets Sold Out Clothing!
Here's some news about a collaboration that seems like a natural: photographer Michael Alago's Rough Gods and the creations of Sold Out Clothing! Last week at Atlanta's i.d. Lab gallery Michael Alago had a well-covered opening with photos from his Rough Gods book & site. In addition to selling art Michael was signing copies of his newest book Brutal Truth. In the days following the opening we were happily surprised to see him posting new pics of his models (including sexy redhead Seth Fornea, top right & below) wearing Sold Out Clothing Tom of Finland t-shirts! We asked David & Keith from Sold Out about this and that's when we found out about the collaboration.
At the signing Michael Alago also had some Sold Out Clothing Tom of Finland t-shirts along with new Rough Gods t-shirts that Sold Out had made & sent to him as samples. The design you see here features one of Michael's favorite models (and ours) James Stone. The idea
for the collaboration was a t-shirt design incorporating Michael's photos of his models wearing Sold Out -shirts --or as Sold Out described it "a t-shirt within a t-shirt".
Interestingly a few of Michael's good friends (including Aron Christian, top left)had ordered shirts from the Sold Out Clothing site & asked him if he knew about the company. Not long after that Sold Out saw an Alago pic of a guy they knew and soon after that they were talking about doing something together. So now Rough Gods & Sold Out Clothing will be collaborating on an exclusive and limited run of shirts! As we said at the beginning the team-up seems like a natural fit and we can't wait to see the designs. We'll be updating you when the designs are made available.
