Dominic Ford has just added another miltestone in a long list of innovations in its relatively brief history. The company which was the first to offer 3D videos, the first to offer streaming videos on the iPad & more has published an "interactive iBook": Inside Dominic Ford.

  Published with Apple’s new format which uses iBooks 2.0 for the iPad Dominic Ford is using this new fomat to reach new audiences with a non-web publication. It features a look at Dominic Ford using exclusive photo galleries, a never-before-seen video, and an exclusive promotion to the site!

  The ibooks 2.0 format was just introduced as a new way to offer textbooks for the growing iPad audience but Dominic Ford has once again taken the lead by using the format in an even more innovative way. According to the press release Ford says that this format "allows us to experiment with print layouts, but with the added bonus of adding terrific interactivity. Volume I of Inside Dominic Ford offers a short glimpse of who I am, what makes me tick, and what I’m doing with DominicFord.com."

  As we mentioned there are exclusive photo galleries included in the book and video. Inside Dominic Ford features a previously unreleased "blooper reel" with Matthew Rush and Preston Steel. Dominic didn't want to spoil the surprise with more details but it does have to do with something directorial. While the book does contain this video content Dominic Ford has still kept Volume I short for a quicker download time. However he adds that if there is interest for more volumes the iBooks may be longer and include more video.
