Matthew Rush in "Making Porn"

Hey gay porn fans & theater goers in San Francisco! Ronnie Larsen's hit comedy Making Porn starring superstar Matthew Rush has just begun a limited run through October 30! That means you have a little less than three weeks to catch the play now running at the Box Car Theatre Studios at 125A Hyde Street in San Francisco.

This marks the first time in five years that Making Porn has been re-mounted and Ronnie Larsen wanted to kick things off by staging it in SF, the city in which it's set. The play has evolved a bit since it first premiered in Chicago in 1995. It has starred several gay porn stars over the years including Matthew Rush who has starred in productions in five cities. Matthew plays the role of Jack Hawk, straight actor turned gay porn icon.

Playwright Ronnie Larsen himself has also returned to the role he has played in several of the productions. He & Matthew are joined by Jared Scott, Noah Langton, Ivan Hardin, & Sabrina De Mio.
Performances are Thursday at 8 PM, Friday and Saturday at 7 PM & 10 PM, and Sunday at 7 PM.   Tickets are $25 to $35, depending on dates and time of the show.  There's also "Special VIP" seating available for $50.  You can purchase tickets at
BrownPaperTickets.com or RonnieLarsen.com.

We've had the chance to see previous productions of Making Porn, including one with Matthew Rush and can tell you that the play and Matthew were quite good. In fact he's very impressive. Interestingly the play is still very relevant --in fact it may be more so today. So, if you live in SF or are visiting check out Making Porn. And for all you devoted Matthew Rush fans it's time to step it up!
