GAYVN Awards On Showtime
Surprise! The GAYVN Awards Show which started airing on Showtime this is actually good! It's funny, sexy, well-edited & even a little exciting. It's a good mix of the awards presentation, red carpet interviews, behind-the-scenes fun, and more. True, not all the categories and presenters were shown (some surprising omissions to be sure) and some non-awards stuff seemed superfluous BUT it flowed well. Maybe if they had made it a 90 minute show instead of an hour it could have worked better. Oh well.
Having seen Alec Mapa in his one-man shows we weren't surprised he was so good here--hopefully many more are now aware of his comedic talents now.
The other fun thing was picking out all the stars & gay porn celebs on camera whether they're part of the presentation, in the audience, on the red carpet, in the behind-the-scenes footage, etc. It's a shame that Showtime didn't air this earlier---it might have boosted the chances of another GAYVN Awards sooner...right now it seems to be in limbo. Nevertheless do check out the awards show when you can.
