Half-Year in Review Part 1: Top 10 Blog Posts
New sites, re-designed & re-launched sites, new stars, retiring stars, comebacks, blockbuster movies, new classics, hot scenes, and more has characterized this first half of 2011. And from the looks of things it looks the the second half of this year is going to be more of the same. With all this in mind we're taking a look back at what's happened so far this year and we begin with a look at our most read blog posts of the year.
As we did with our 2010 year end review we're only including the posts that appeared in 2011. That said we did include stats on blog posts that appeared in December since there was some spillover.
1. Reese Rideout: Don't Quit Your Day Job. You can't underestimate the star power & popularity of Reese Rideout! Reese made a cameo appearance on a Canadian reality show and a video clop was posted. The video is now marked "private" but the post proved to be the most popular ne of the year so far.
2. Next Door Buddies: Spencer Reed & Phillip Aubrey. Here again you can see the star power of award-winning Spencer Reed and the popularity of a specific scene with real-life bf Phillip Aubrey.
3. Brent Diggs Returns To Randy Blue. It would seem that Brent Diggs is one of Randy Blue's more popular stars with a loyal following. After a hiatus of a couple years he was back ar RB. More to come? We sure hope so!
4. Dominic Ford's First Exclusive Model. Just the announcement alone along with a torso sneak peek of Bryce Evans was enough to get people interested in Dominic Ford's first ever exclusive. You see, being an exclusive IS newsworthy.
5. Golden Gate Season 2: Biker's Liberty. If we totalled up all the blog hits that Golden Gate has gotten it would certainly be our most viewed topic. That said, our review of the second episode with Colby Keller & Ashley Ryder got the most hits. Yes, Colby is one of our all-time faves too.
6. Parker London & AJ Irons Jet Set Interview. A "straight off the set" video interview posted at YouTube doesn't seem like it would a highly viewed post--but when you take into consideration the super sexy Parker London it makes perfect sense. Sexy & funny, hot & versatile...Parker is always a draw.
7. Lube Wrestling!: Steven Daigle vs Cavin Knight. "Naughty Laura" posted a couple of videos at YouTube of wrestling match at a local SD club and it was quite fun & sexy. Unfortunately YouTube had it pulled down. Again you can look at the popularity of Steven & Cavin to figure out why this post garnered hits.
8. Adam Charlton's First Flex For 2011. Awesomely muscle fitness model Adam Charlton
loves to show off his body on YouTube and our post of his first video of 2011 (after a long hiatus) was the most visited. The video is now private but many videos by Adam have been posted since & we'll continue to post them here when he puts out new ones.
9. Jakub Bandoch (Stefano) By Bradford Rogne . Czech model Jakub Stefano/Bandoch has also been a popular subject and when he was shot by Rogne the photographer posted videos from the shoot. Fortunately these videos ARE still available for viewing--and as hot as ever.
10. Stars At Pride. One of our most recent posts was a rundown of where you might find some of your favorite stars at Gay Pride this year.
Honorable mention: Even though he officially retired late last summer our very brief post on Leo Giamani (So Long, Leo Giamani) continues to be one of our most visited posts this year. In fact, it's #2 on our all-time most popular posts list! There may come a time when people will ask "who?" when you mention Leo Giamani but it sure isn't now!
