Gay Pride Week..And Beyond.
In addition to Gay Pride Week in LA (check our earlier post), there are celebrations going on this week and beyond both here and abroad. So here are a few more parade listings of import. And check at the bottom for even more.
Saturday June 11. Boston Pride. Actually it's Pride Week in Boston and there's a calendar of events leading up to the parade & festival on Saturday & Sunday.
Saturday June 11. Washington, DC. Like Boston Capital Pride takes place over a period of almost two weeks from June 1-12 with a parade on Saturday.
Saturday, June 11. Rome. Every year EuroPride takes place in a different city and this year the parade is in Rome at Circus Maximus. This week it was confirmed that Lady Gaga will participate in the parade!
Friday & Saturday June 17 & 18. Columbus, OH Pride.
Saturday & Sunday June 18 & 19. Baltimore Gay Pride
Sunday, June 19, 2011. Denver. The two day festival includes the DEnver Dyke March on Saturday & the Gay Pride Parade on Sunday.
Saturday June 25. Berlin Gay Pride Parade
Sunday, June 26. San Francisco. The three day SF Pride includes the prestigious 41st parade and this year Grand Marshalls include Chaz Bono, Olympia Dukakis, & Yigit Pura the winner of Top Chef Just Desserts. There's more than celebrities as you'll see when you check out the link.
Sunday June 26. New York City. The multi-day NYC Pride also includes many events including the parade/march on Sunday. Grand Marshalls include Terry Miller & Dan Savage the couple who started the It Gets Better Project which continues to grow & prosper.
Sunday June 26. Chicago. Another multi-day celebration culminating in the Sunday parade.
