Yes, the Trendy Awards are coming back this year and the organizers for the second annual event are getting a jump start on things. The nomination process begins on March 15 and voting will take place from April 27 through May 27.
 
  So, what ARE the Trendy Awards? Introduced last year they're a fan-based awards show with the emphasis on "Pop XXX Culture". They also include local trends, fads, fashions, etc such a eateries, bars, clubs, etc. In the porn-related categories there's the usual best star, best scene, best site, noteworthy visionaries, etc as well as prettiest eyes, best live shows, boldest move, and more. 

 As mentioned above the nomination process begins on March 15 and at the same time
the Trendy Awards people will be appointing judges. They'll be chosen among industry pros and fans in order to create a balanced panel. However the judges are not voting or choosing the winners. They will oversee the voting and confirm the list of nominees. Fans, surfers & those in the adult industry will be the voters and the judges' panel will only vote in case of a tie. Don't expect any leaking of winners since the judges will be signing a release to prevent them from doing just that. 

  We gathered from the newest press release that the categories haven't all been set in stone. Thus we may see some changes from last year's awards. The show itself was uneven both in presentation and the number of winners on hand but that was to be expected for its first time.  We'll be following along to see how the the whole thing shapes so expect to see some updates soon.
