Hard Heroes 2010
Given the amount of coverage that it gets in the mainstream media we probably don't have to tell many of you that next week is the San Diego Comic Con. This annual gathering of comic book, sci-fi & fantasy fans & pros has grown from its somewhat humble & admittedly geek-cult beginnings into a mega-monolith of pop culture.
As you know by now we at Jack Manly count ourselves among those who are proud life-long comic book fans/geeks and in the past few years it's been fun finding out about the people in the gay porn biz who share this interest. SO.. like last year we have another series of comic-related blog posts starting today.
Another annual event related to both comics & fetish is coming up in August at MJs here in LA. We're talking about Hard Heroes 7, hosted by the Los Angeles Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence & Lycra Men Los Angeles and benefiting Being Alive. Here you can dress up like your favorite super-hero or super-villain or create one of your own and "escape into a world of superhero fetish and fantasy."
Our friends at Hard Heroes sent along some following press info for this super-fun (and sexy) charitable
event which we'll be reminding you about in the weeks to come.

There's also going to be a VERY hot fashion show by N2N Bodywear, the swimsuit, underwear & bodywear company that recently supplied the costuming for the just wrapped Falcon movie Dripping Wet 3. N2N will also be selling their gear at the event. If you don't have a costume you could easily pick something up from their table and you could easily put something together. Another for those without outfits is to get an "FX body painting" courtesy of Bruce Collins and crew who are also present at the event.
MJ's will be decked out with the art of some of the hottest gay artists around including Sean Z, Iceman Blue, Brad Rader, Steven Garcia, Michael Troy, Will O.Tyler, Class Comics, Dave Davenport, Axel, and Prism Comics.
On top of all the fun of dressing up, dancing, and looking at super-hot men in costume there will also be prizes & giveaways including porn from Can-Am, HardHeroes.com, and AtomicMen.com. There will be hot gear from N2N, Rough Trade, Syren, MaleStockroom.com, Instigator Magazine, WET Lube, and Renaissance Dancewear. PLUS...there will be coupons & discounts from RED Chewy's Bootblack, West Coast Rubber, Anvil Club, SpandexGuys.com, and Body Builder's Gym.
