News Round-Up July 2010

We've got a few news tidbits to start off the week, some of which are a few weeks old but topical nonetheless. Summer 2010 is a particularly busy time for the gay porn world with lots of guys on the move both career wise and geographically. There are some big fall movies are going into production and some summer biggies yet to come. Plus, this is just the beginning because whenever we do a round-up there are invariably a number of newer items that pop up once we post these.
As we mentioned before Steven Daigle & Drake Jayden went to London for Gay Pride and apparently had a blast. In addition to personal appearances Steven Daigle also did a scene for UK Naked Men! In this one he plays a firefighter and he looks very hot in his gear (he posted a pic on Twitter). We don't know when this will air but for now you can see Steven in a video at Cocksure Men, his scene with Erik Rhodes in Snap Shot is up at Falcon XXX , and his third Channel 1 video Fuck U (featuring the return of Brent Everett) is do very shortly. Plus, unless we're mistaken Steven will soon be seen in Playgirl.
While we're on the subject of UK Naked Men supersexy Brit Jon Saunders made a return solo appearance there recently and we have a correction to make from a previous entry (. His name here is Mike Douglas (not Dave as we originally reported) Also he's in a solo photoshoot-style video at Men At Play as David Jones.
Samuel Colt is also on the road a bunch this summer and fall. In July he'll be in Canada (Oh Canada! you're so lucky) and in August through the first week in September his travels take him to Ohio, Fire Island, Istanbul, Prague, & Berling (for Folsom Europe)! Whew! Nothing has been firmed up but it's possible that Samuel will be filming something in one of these locales. We'll keep you posted on that. Then later in September he'll at Cocktails With the Stars here in LA, which as you'll recall we'll feature many of the personalities represented by David Forest.
That brings us to the latest star to sign up with David Forest: it was announced that Diesel Washington has signed with Forest's Premiere Artists Agency. Diesel mentioned on his blog that his decision "is based on new alliances that are forming in West Hollywood, and the San Fran area." Obviously there are plans afoot and we should know more shortly. In addition Diesel will be appearing in the first Forest-thenmed Cocktails With the Stars evening on September 2.
Samuel Colt Trent Locke
Jason Sechrest recently announced that his DV8 Casting has added two very hot & super sexy performers Lee Stephens & Trent Locke. Stephens you might recall from his debut at College Dudes 24/7 and various appearances since while Trent Locke is more of a newcomer. He's done a few videos for Falcon Str8 Men, Next Door Studios, and more recently Suite 703.
Also Jason has announced that another of his clients Brandon Wilde is back in town. You might recall Wilde from a few video appearances but this summer he's actually been in political news. He went on at least one date with two-term openy gay Minnesota state Senator Paul Koering. Koering is facing a Republican primary challenger and went out of his way to reveal this news rather than have the story treated as political gossip. Interestingly he represents a "socially-conservative" district and GOP Chairman Tony Sutton says Koering has shown "incredibly poor judgment." Maybe so, but he's also shown good taste in dates.

Speaking of "out" people in the news, have you heard the latest about Jake Pavelka, the pilot & star of the recent season of The Bachelor who also appeared on Dancing With The Stars? Jake picked "bad girl" Vienna and they just recently split up and some of the contestants (male & female) from The Bachelor & The Bachelorette have come forward to say that they think Jake has "gay tendencies". One of the biggest red flags was Jake's various reasons for not wanting to have sex with Vienna. They also mentioned his dress & grooming (we used to call that metrosexual). Of course we could bring up his crying on DWTS & elsewhere. On the other hand he wasn't exactly graceful on DWTS and most of the gay speculation on that show was centered around Evan Lysacek.
This week we get a new wrinkle on the Jake Pavelka story: he's been approached to do Playgirl. This is possibly a bit of one-upmanship since Vienna has decided to pose for Playboy.
