Kings of New York: The Review
Kings of New York is quintessential Lucas Entertainment: a well-conceived & stylishly executed porn flick with a deceptively simple, smart & subtly witty script featuring super-sexy performers in exceptionally hot & memorable scenes. If it's possible for a porn flick to do so you could easily view Kings of New York as a love letter to the city in which it's shot.
The premise here is simple. The movie takes place on day in NYC as it follows a group of men (all played by an interesting & diverse group of performers) who are all trying to make it in the big city and become "kings" or at least masters of their fate in their various professions. Each of the four scenes in Kings of New York are tied together cleverly so that the movie works very well as a cohesive whole and flows very smoothly---and seemingly effortlessly.

In the first scene we meet businessman & power player Junior Stellano, riding in his fancy car, perhaps on his way to some deal-making meeting. We quickly learn that Junior (or at least his goons) has kidnapped a half-naked Wilfried Knight and is going to teach him a lesson for trying to cheat him in some previous deal. Writer Nate MacNamara lets us know that the details in what went down are unimportant and like the rest of the characters in the movie have no name. Tied to a chain link fence in some urban basement the French-speaking Wilfried is forced to suck on Junior.
Actually there's little force used because Wilfried Knight is a very willing cocksucker and Junior Stellano unties him to prove his willingness to please. What transpires is a hard-edged bit of erotica with two guys sucking cock, have a flip flop fuck, AND riding a double-headed dildo. It's down & dirty sex in a dark & dank environment. The result is a deliciously cum--soaked climax and realistic post-coital resolution.
Here we should mention that in addition to realism in the script there's authenticity in the sex and the acting on the part of ALL the performers. Directors Michael Lucas & Mr Pam have done a outstanding job of making sure that this happens from beginning to end. On the specifics of the sex Mr Pam has a very intimate & intuitive touch. While many of the visuals feature lots of close-ups the composition of these shots is neither repetitive or predictable --very much like the sex in each scene.
One he's done teaching a lesson & getting off Junior Stellano is back on the street. A cab passes by and the movie shifts to the taxi's passenger, Phillip Aubrey, nervously late for an appointment. Phillip is a model, a North Carolina transplant on his way for a photoshoot. In the studio we see photographer Rafael Alencar finishing up with another model played by porn star Ben Andrews, the first of several non-sexual cameos in the movie. Rafael is also a famous photographer and Phillip is simply starstruck--a fact which Rafael obviously senses. After the photoshoot Rafael seduces Philip and they have a very hot sex scene right there on the set. There's lots of cocksucking & sweaty fucking lived up by the very limber Phillip Aubrey who manages to convey so much through he various contortions. We have to mention that Aubrey plays the semi-naive & charmingly sweet but highly sexual country boy role very well and is true to the role from beginning to end.
The scene betwen Phillip Aubrey & Rafael Alencar ends with the blond stud getting a hefty "pearl necklace". We next see Phillip getting on an elevator with Michael Lucas, who is thoroughly engaged in texting. We loved the humor here as Lucas is totally oblivious to Phillip Aubrey who is rather fidgety, feeling the place on his neck where Rafael shot his load and turning up the collar on his coat as though to hide his just finished tryst.
Here Michael Lucas is playing a familiar role a porn star mogul who meets in his office with a semi-retired porn star played by Rod Daily. The disgruntled performer complains that he should have been on the cover of the porn mag that Lucas graces. Michael Lucas is quick to point out his wall of covers and all the bottoms he fuckled to get there. He tells Daily to get "back in the game" and Rod starts on his comeback by locking the office door and blowing Lucas. Of course Michael Lucas isn't going to be satisfied with just a blow job and he fucks the willing hot & smooth bottom before agreeing to "make some calls".
On the street Rod Daily passes through Times Square where a woman is waving an "Auditions Today" sign and selling it in front of the theater. The woman is played by Monica Bailey who was a contestant on reality show Big Brother several seasons before Steven Daigle who is in this scene. Actually it's no coincidence that she's in the movie since she and Daigle are real-life friend. Inside the theater we see auditions for a talent show of some kind and the judges are NY columnist, acid-tongued Michael Musto & drag personality Bianca Del Rio. The two verbally eviscerate drag queen Sherry Vine who's dressed like a grotesque version of Lady Gaga and singing a parody of one of her songs.
The third judge Steven Daigle is also playing a former rodeo performer/reality star (wink, wink). Steven shows up late but just in time to see the next audition, dancer Zach Alexander. Steven's fellow judges mock the lithe dancing performance and after it's over Steven runs to console and encourage Zach. Zach misinterprets this as a come-on and though Steven denies they do have one hot hook-up. The scene features lots of kissing, sucking & flip-flop fucking and it's a joy to watch these two talented relative newcomers move through this scene so effortlessly and with so much chemistry. It helps that not only are these two beautiful to look at, they are skilled actors. Steven Daigle acts & performs in this movie with a discernible amount of confidence. the kind that you'll more often in pornstars with a few more years of experience.
This thoroughly satisfying movie also has a few extras to enhance the "experience". The Behind The Scenes Feature is great fun and illuminating for those who like to see the so-called real guys who are also pornstars. There are also two interviews with Steven Daigle & Rod Daily. AND, for those who still haven't seen the whole movie there's a bonus scene from Men of Israel.

Zach Alexander is the only reason for looking this film. I think Zach would have been a much better Killian (in Steven Daigle Stalked) - Zach, Steven, Tory Mason, Camerson Marshall - that's what I like to see!
