Sites in Our Sights
We're ending the month with a look at a couple of online video sites that we were tipped off to recently. It's getting pretty rare to find new and recent sites that are totally original in concept simply because most ideas are already in use. That said there are sites like the ones we're mentioning today use a variation on an existing theme or attempt niche marketing. In addition both have simple and effectively memorable site names.
Alternadudes. Right off the bat you'll probably figure out that this site features alternative guys--skaters, punks, goths, rockers, guys with tattoos, piercings, etc. Undoubtedly you've seen this type of guy pop up at other sites and maybe you've seen a site or two that only uses one type of alternative guy. While Alternadudes is going for a specific niche it's also a surprisingly broad one. Among the unknowns & newcomers you'll see a few familiar faces pop up here that fit the theme (Spencer Reed, for example) rather neatly. According to a recent review we read of the site, it has evolved & improved over its relatively short existence so as it grows we expect this to continue. You may have to take your time and be a little patient navigating through the site but if you like guys that are a little more rough around the edges it's worth the effort.
Spunkworthy. Seinfeld fans will immediately get the joke reference to the name here but the site is no joke. It features a variety of jock/military type dudes jacking off or getting handjobs from the unseen site host and on a few occasions jacking next to another dude. This may sound like "old school" website stuff but that's the beauty of Spunkworthy. It harkens back to the days when most websites featured sexy "amateur" models in hot & well-made & no- frills videos. In a way this has become something of a lost art and Spunkworthy seems to have revived it very well. The interesting thing is that the "HQ" for the site is in San Diego, something of a hub for other websites. Nevertheless you won't guys from other sites here, at least as far as we can tell. It doesn't mean it won't happen down the line or that some of the guys from here will wind up in porn but the amount of new faces here is very refreshing.
