VERY Active Duty

Given his distinctive & memorable name it's likely that you've heard the name Dink Flamingo. He's the man behind the always hot military men-themed Active Duty site and its movie/DVD division Dirty Bird Pictures and last year was inducted into the GAYVN Hall of Fame. Flamingo has spotlighted such stars as Kaden Saylor, Barrett Long, and other familiar faces in the world of online video sites movies. Essentially he's a power player whose credentials in this regard are about to get a boost. He's signed a recently notorious newsmaker to appear on Active Duty and he's now the co-owner of a popular website that had been for sale a few months back and is now about to re-launch with a whole new design.
The notorious stud who just filmed his first videos for Active Duty is the XTube sensation & blogger is Tim the "Hawaii Speedo Student"! He's the 22 year old blond student at the University of Hawaii who has a thing for speedos and posting videos of himself jerking off in his empty college classroom. Word got out about this homemade movies and essentially drove the university crazy. There was a complaint filed by a fellow student, which triggered a student code violation investigation, and threats of expulsion. Tim went public in his blog and at Butt Magazine and though he wasn't expelled he has since stopped filming in the classroom. Now he's getting paid for his "talent". He posted on his blog that he filmed four scenes at Activy Duty over the weekend---two solo scenes and two where he bottoms for Shawn (aka Glenn from Sean Cody)& Kaden Saylor. Plus in the future he may do a project with Brent Corrigan. It just goes to show you that uninhibited artistic expression can be profitable!
As for the other news, last week Dink Flamingo updated fans on the progress of his newest venture as co-owner of Amateur Straight Guys. As you might recall this popular site had a major upheaval in 2009 when the two site hosts/owners split up. One of the owners Doug tried to carry on by himself but found the task too daunting and decided to put the site up for sale. Unbeknownst to us (and probably much of the press) Dink Flamingo stepped in and as he phrased it "joined forces with Amateur Straight Guys" and he and Doug are co-owners.
Amateur Straight Guys is being rebuilt right now and if you go to the site you can see a preview of the newly refurbished site as well as open letters from Dink & Doug. According to last week's update the revamp has included "rebuilding it from the ground up". Within a few days the "soft launch" will be unveiled and the so-called "hard launch" will follow in May. The plan is for the full re-launch to coincide with the 10th anniversary of Amateur Straight Guys. From what we read it sounds like some of the site's fan faves will be returning including Spence.
Naturally we'll keep you posted on the debut of "Hawaii Speedo Student" and the re-launch of Amateur Straight Guys.
