The Multinauts Are Coming!

Thanks go to Slick It Up designer David Mason who posted on his super-cool House Of Vader blog about the upcoming premiere of the "sci-fi fantasy adventure program" The Multinauts. It's happening on Friday April 30 at the midnight show at LA's New Beverly Cinema, where the first two episodes of this series will be premiered.
What is The MultinautsTelefantasy Studios has put together an amalgam of several Saturday morning & after school kids' shows and concocted what looks like a delightfully cheesy parody. Imagine a mix of shows from the 70s to the 90s like The Power Rangers, Jason of Star Command, Masters of the Universe, etc and you'll get an idea of what were talking about. The synopsis is as follows:

"A heroic rescue mission turns deadly for a trio of adventurers from different time periods. Picked up by a holographic spaceship and assigned the task of rescuing an imperiled colony pilot, the three heroes soon come under fire from a powerful mega-corporation and its mutant empire. "

Of course you can see all this for yourself by checking out the The Multinauts site which features the cast of characters, background info, and the official trailer

The House Of Vader blog also revealed some nice tidbits that you probably won't find on the site:

-- David's friend Jennifer has been working for months on this project and based solely on the movie's stills Paper Magazine called Telefantasy Studios (Jennifer & David) among the year's "beautiful people".

-- David Mason not only plays the villain Oysters Rockafeller but he did the costumes for the other villanous characters as well. He "refurbished" vintage Mugler fashions for the movie and he plans on doing more.

-- The series also features porn superstar & frequent Slick It Up model Francois Sagat, satirical rap artist Leslie Hall, and "the
guy from Yo Gabba Gabba" (the Nick, Jr show).

Yes, we're planning on attending the event and hopefully sexy David Mason & Francois Sagat will be on hand. Of course, if we get any more info we'll pass it along.
