In this week's edition of our periodic news round-ups we have a few miscellaneous items as well as a few observations on same. For one thing it does seem as though 2010 has seen a lot of transitions and changes early on and it's very likely we'll be seeing more as the rest of the year plays out.  It's why you didn't see us making any predictions for the year ahead when we did our 2009 wrap-up. 

  We have to start off with the week's big story that sounds unbelievable yet is incredibly true. Raging Stallion has offered $1 million to Ricky Martin to appear in a gay porn flick with exclusive Austin Wilde. Yes, THAT Ricky Martin, the Latin music superstar who recently came out of the closet. RSS has offered top dollar to him to appear in a scene with their Man of the Year. If he accepts the video would be shot this coming fall with a release planned for January of 2011. Naturally the Raging Stallion blog notes the enthusiasm that RSS president Chris Ward & star Austin Wilde have for this possibility.

  All that said, so far there hasn't been a response from Ricky Martin and that in itself is intriguing. Given that he doesn't need the money & a porn scene might have an adverse effect on his career, plus the fact he has children, points to the likelihood that he'll turn down the offer. Nevertheless the lag time between the offer and the lack of an official response is bound to keep the story alive for at least a few days. As for the price tag itself, we guess this means that Raging Stallion is doing even better than we dreamed.  

 On the subject of Raging Stallion and Austin Wilde the studio also announced that it has re-signed the star along with Angelo Marconi as exclusives. The two popular studs appear in Arabian Nights and will appear in the May release Heat of the Moment, directed by Ben Leon & shot in Argentina. 

 Ryan Raz announced on his blog  (and on Twitter) that he'll no longer be filming gay porn. However, it doesn't mean that he's retiring or quitting the biz: he still will be part of the industry and making appearances. Ryan Raz explains it all pretty well on his blog but essentially the fun part of doing porn has diminished for him. As he says "What was once exciting and thrilling has been changing into something that seems like a chore." Of course as fans we'd love to see more of Ryan Raz  but we wish him well in his future endeavors off-screen.

This week we learned that director John Bruno has been filming for Jet Set Jocks and his first scene was released on the site this week. It features the very busy & very hot performers Parker London and Conner Habib with newcomer James Gates. This certainly clears up a few things that we've been wondering about for the last few weeks. At his recent Cocktails With The Stars appearance Conner Habib mentioned he was doing a scene for Jet Set and that he would be the first hairy guy to appear and the scene would be with Parker London. 

  According to the Jet Set Blog John Bruno has directed seven scenes so far for the newly renamed & rebranded online video site Jet Set Jocks (formerly known as Jet Set Straight Edge). Many of the hot Jet Set stars like Josh Griffin, Landon Mycles, & Dylan Roberts have filmed scenes with Bruno and they'll be released in subsequent weeks. 

  As we mentioned this announcement clears up a few things. There haven't been any new videos posted at John Bruno's Massive Studio site in awhile--nor for that matter at Falcon Str8 Men, both Falcon companies. We don't if this means Bruno will no longer be producing content for Massive or directing for Falcon. Nor do we know if either of the Falcon sites will continue or get their own "rebranding" when Next Door Studios takes over the business side of Falcon's online content. We should know more soon. By the way John Bruno & Jet Set head stud Chris Steele have worked together before on Hard Mechanics so they do have a good history together.

   As you've seen before in many movies over the past few years Titan Men seems to like filming movies in the great outdoors. More often than not these are shot in the beautiful woodsy areas in Northern California near Titans' SF HQ. However in at least two occasions during the past couple months Titan has ventured south and filmed a couple movies in Palm Springs. For example, JR Matthews & Spencer Reed have both tweeted about their respective shoots in PS--no details, mind you. That's something that Titan likes to keep to themselves.

     

  Lastly we have some release dates for some big videos & DVDs coming your way soon. We'll be providing more details as the videos are released but this should at least pique your interest--as it did ours.

 Hard Friction 2  (April 23). Steve Cruz & Bruno Bond have been putting a lot of work into their site Hard Friction and their newest DVD compilation shows just how much the site has developed. This double-disc DVD set has it all as you'll see in our upcoming preview.  

 Text, Lies And Video.  The much anticipated full length Randy Blue movie is being released on the site on May 11 AND the director's cut DVD is coming May 17th.  You can check out the website (textliesandvideo.com) for further info on this video that gives Chris Rockway his first real starrring role.

 Falcon's 200th & Mustang's Rhodes Rule's (May). We believe that both these should be out next month. They feature milestones for the studio (Leo Giamani's final Falcon flick) and Erk Rhodes' solo directorial debut) with amazing casts.
