Mark Dalton, Bodybuilder

Every week we receive an e-mail-newsletter from agent David Forest which mostly reports on the upcoming appearances of the hot guys that The Premiere Artists agency represents. Often the newsletter also links to articles of interest regarding David or his clients. This past Easter weekend the e-mail included a link to an appearance David Forest made on the Terry LeGrand LA Talk Radio Show and an article in the Dallas Voice which profiled the resurgent porn star Mark Dalton. Thankfully the article doesn't re-hash or dwell on the sordid details of Dalton's recent past but rather looks ahead to his new focus: bodybuilding.
Yes, Mark Dalton has been spending the last few months in serious training for the Ronnie Coleman Strongman Classic 2010 bodybuilding competition which will be held at the Mesquite, Texas Convention Center this Thursday April 8. As you might expect, he'll be competing under his real name Jeremy Sons.
This news doesn't mean that "Mark Dalton" is no more. In fact, his return to gay porn flick Getting Levi's Johnson has just been released and his website MarkDaltonXXX is about to return with what the article calls "tons of content."
Those who have seen muscular Mark Dalton in movies probably won't be the least bit surprised that he's turned to bodybuilding. His muscular physique was certainly a prime reason he was so popular in gay porn flicks even though he's a straight and he never went the full "gay for pay" route. What IS surprising is that he's never competed as a boldybuilder before. He was primarily a powerlifter possessing those enviable genetics allowed him to eat just about anything. Guess what? He never dieted either, even when doing movies & magazines.
A little over three months ago a gym bud encouraged him to enter this bodybuilding competition. As naturally well-built as he is, Jeremy Sons/Mark Dalton increased his workouts, made some dramatic changes to his diet and built up MORE muscle so that he'll be in the light-heavyweight division. He's also been working on his presentation which obviously is as important as the body.
As for his career as Mark Dalton AND his tattoos, they're both a factor on the mind of bodybuilder Jeremy Sons. Nevertheless the article suggests that these might not be dealbreakers in the competition--it all depends on the judges. Apparently no matter what happens the Texan stud plans to enter another competition later in the year.
It should be interesting to see what happens.
