A Night At The Cybersocket Web Awards

Now that we've listed the winners from the Cybersocket Web Awards and recounted the highlights of the show itself it's time for Jack Manly to take a look at this special night from our vantage point. As we hinted at earlier there was lots going on for us before, during, & after the awards. Plus it was such a star-studded evening. Performers from sites & companies all mingling together---it was a buffet!

Our night at the awards actually changed direction the previous day when we were asked by Man of the Year Samuel Colt to join him at a pre-awards dinner (have we mentioned before that underneath that muscular & sexy exterior is one hell of a nice guy?) hosted by David Forest.  It was an interesting gathering to say the least. There was us plus Samuel & his guest (a good friend from LA). Forest brought along two up & coming stars he represents, Jason Chan & Chase Evans,  Josh Anderson, and comedy writer/actor Bruce Vilanch. See?  Told you it was interesting. The conversations were all memorable and as varied as the diners. The plan was for us to all eat and get down to the red carpet arrivals which we did, although dinner did run a little later than expected. Samuel Colt let us know he would be going back to SF the very next day to start on his next Mustang flick AND that he's got one scheduled in March too.

Our friend Robert Chandler from Real Guys Exposed had already arrived and was up in the VIP section but the place was standing room only so we didn't get a chance to chat with him until after the ceremony (except for some newsy text messages during dinner & the show). Be sure and check out the blog at
Real Guys Exposed for his pics & recap.

Sister Roma & Scott Tanner (looking gorgeous btw)were doing a fabulous job on the red carpet, talking to the arriving stars and while we didn't get there until the tail end of things we did catch glimpses of many of the late arrivals like Brent Corrigan, Brent Everett, bearded Tommy Defendi, and Michael Lucas & Mr Pam. Also next to the red carpet was Tanner's bf Paul Wagner (stunning in person) who was keeping a watch on his beau. Incidentally hats have made a comeback. Samuel & Paul both wore sporty flat caps and several stars were adorned in interesting headgear.

Inside before the show we had a chance to say hello to Simon from Buddy Profits, the award-winning affiliate program that handles Next Door Studios, The Visconti Triplets, Colt, etc. The company provided the beautiful trophy studs Tommy D, Cody Cummings, Rod Daily, and Mason Wyler. All four guys were
eye riveting although it was Mason who seem to be having the most fun that night--he was like a kid in a candy store.

We were so happy to run into Steve Cruz before he went up on stage. Believe it or not it was our first face-to-face meeting and we were honored that he took the time to say hi and come back after his presentation. Seriously he is one busy guy. He and his boyfriend Bruno Bond weren't just here for the awards--Steve filmed a hot flip-flop scene with Alessio Romero when he was in town! Steve had lots of socializing to do too (check his blog for HIS evening. We didn't see Alessio or Race Cooper but they were on hand too although we did run into our mutual friend Tamara (aka gpcrush) who was just as sweet as always.

As we mentioned the place was jammed but during the show we did spot quite a few stars. There were tall guys like Ryan Raz & Christian Wilde who are even more handsome in person. Buff & tan couple Roman Heart & Benjamin Bradley were keeping to themselves but still stood out and gathered a crowd of their own. Also spotted were it guys Jayden Grey, Jeremy Bilding, Jason Pitt, Adam Killian, Drew Cutler, Lucky Daniels, Cameron Marshall, Johnny Hazzard, Angelo Marconi, Junior Stellano (what a bod), Cody Kyler, & Craig Reynolds. Reynolds was actually brought up on stage when Hot House won for Best Studio and with a little prodding dropped his jeans to show off his beautiful bubble butt. By the way, during the day we had heard that Erik Rhodes was going to be directing his first feature Rhodes' Rules and several of the stars we've mentioned were scheduled to be in it (more on this flick next time).

Randy Blue's models were there together led by sexy RB photographer Nick Leoni.  Gunner Pierce, Nicco Sky, Cayden Ross & Riley Price were shirtless and stunning. Up until this night we didn't know if Cayden was straight or not but the fact that he smooching it up with Riley seems to indicate he's at least bi. What pair they made.

Other stars we found out were there but didn't see were Damian Rios, Dominik Ryder, Quentin Elias (oh so hot), Rob Romoni, Jason Ridge (un-retired maybe?), Vince Ferelli, Luke Marcum, Peter Axel, Lex Sabre, Shane Frost, Tucker Scott, Coby Mitchell, & Phillip Ashton. The fact we didn't spot these guys should tell you how crowded it was.

After the show (and the handing out of very full gift bags) we headed upstairs with Robert Chandler to the dance floor for the after-party where Chi Chi LaRue was DJ. Our intention was to see more stars & say hello to Mason Wyler who had expressed an interest in meeting us after Robert chatted him up.  We did get our moment with Mason who was just as sweet as he could be. After that we spotted Mason talking with Diesel Washington who has long had Mr Wyler on his "to do list". They had quite a long chat and  we're not sure, but we think that one of the Next Door Studios producers was there too. Could it be they were setting up a Mason-Diesel scene? We shall see.  We didn't get a chance to say hi to Diesel since he had gathered a mini-crowd and he was with his date Andy Kay.  Also spotted upstairs separately were the super-handsome Beaux Banner & muscle man Josh Griffin. Once again we were again struck by the fact that so many of the stars we meet like these guys are even better looking & hotter in person.  We kid you not.

Coming up: our photo gallery from our night at the awards.
