Hunk Watch: The TV Edition
During the winter months traffic usually goes up at online video sites for the most obvious of reasons--horny guys are staying indoors and seeking an outlet for their libidinous desires. While we doubt that TV network executives are wise to this fact, this year it sure seems as though mainstream television has provided us with a nice amount of homoerotic entertainment. Just check out these examples:
Legend of the Seeker. Now in its second season, this syndicated sword & sorcery fantasy series features Craig Horner as the young hero Richard Cypher. The Australian actor has a hot lean-muscled body and you'll see him shirtless fairly often---especially when he's practicing his sword skills. There's also a dominatrix in the series and she's had him bound & shirtless on two occasions so far. It may not be a super-exciting series but it's worth adding it to your TiVo lineup to scan for shirtless scenes.
Spartacus: Blood and Sand. This 13-week series bows this Friday January 22 on Starz and stars ultra-sexy Andy Whitfield in the title role of the Roman slave & gladiator. Sure it looks like it borrows from the visual style of 300 but if the series features the same amount of half-naked warriors & gladiator we'll let it pass. We imagine lots of gay eyes glued to this one.
Blue Mountain State. This Spike TV series has already started but you can catch past episodes online. It's a comedy about college life, specifically a bunch of hot football players on a pretty hapless team. It's got Alan Ritchson, the blond hottie who went from American Idol to Smallville (playing Aquaman) into underwear modeling and back to acting. Also features Sam Jones III & Darin Brooks there's already been a blog-worthy jockstrap scene (above).
Survivor: Heroes vs Villains. For the 10th anniversary edition of this reality series the producers have assembled past contestants to compete. Included is one of our all-time faves Colby Donaldson who has gone on to more acting & another "all-stars" version of this show. You'll also see firefighter daddy Tom Westman, previous winner from Alabama JT Thomas, & the gravedigger with the super-hot muscle bod James Clement. There have been a LOT of hotties on Survivor but also lowlifes as you'll see on the "villains" side.
Human Target. Super-hero handsome Mark Valley in a series based on a comic series about a bodyguard/private detective who impersonates intended murder victims. This sexy star has been on several series and always looks good.
Amazing Race. This series also returns in February and often features at least a few hunky men, but it's not a guarantee. So we put a question mark on this one, for now.
