Best of 2009: Our Annual Website Awards
For the third year in a row we're foregoing our "top ten" format for our look back at the year in online video websites. Instead we're again presenting our own categories of achievement for the many websites, performers, and videos that made 2009. In a way you can refer to this as our own awards presentation, the Manlys, if you will. There are a few categories you might recognize from the past few years but we've also got a few new ones--all designed to include as many of our favorites as possible.
Best Idea of the Year: The crossover between Corbin Fisher & Bel Ami and Cocky Boys & Bel Ami. We've talked a lot about these collaborations that produced some amazing videos and they showed that this was a great idea that should be tried again. Next Door Studios & Randy Blue anyone?
Best Site to See Models As They Really Are: Real Guys Exposed. This new site impressed us with the way it took an established premise and made it fascinating. Simply letting sexy guys talk and reveal the person behind the model made for a refreshing new site.
Best Site Re-Launch: Men at Play. This site has always been hot with it's well-produced men-in-suits videos and international studs but went the extra-mile in 2009. It re-launched with a new site design, larger format videos and an online model search contest. The winner? Beautiful model & online pornstar Levi Poulter. We can't wait to see him in action.
Best New Design: Manifest Men. This muscle worship site always seems to seeking out the best designs & technology to present its cavalcade of muscular men. We think they hit upon the best design this past fall but chances are they'll find even newer heights in 2010.
Best Place To Enjoy Your Kink: KinkMen.com. In 2008 Van Darkholme took over KinkMen.com to create super-hot fetish site Bound Gods. In 2009 he expanded with wrestling site Naked Kombat and put his own stamp on existing site Butt Machine Boys. Best new spin-off site: Cocksure Men. Like last year we give props to Jake Cruise for this spin-off site which has actually become more popular than the original. We are constantly amazed at all the guys this site has featured. It's no surprise that Jake Cruise Media has become so successful that it now has a studio AND a backlot!

Most Evolved Site: Drake Rock. One very softcore site spun off a more explicit one. Then a third "in between" site debuted. Finally one site combining all three emerged and now features some very hot videos that just keep getting better.
Best Takeover: Massive Studio. Falcon already had its live shows & Falcon Str8 Men but smartly added Massive to the line-up. It wasn't that much of a takeover since the site was owned by frequent Falcon director John Bruno. But it was still a wise move to add this hot site and give it
