XBIZ Awards Nominations
This week the 2010 XBIZ Awards nominations were announced and as usual there are GLBT categories included among the mostly straight porn nominees. Like last year we've got a list of these GLBT nominations although if you're a completist you can check out the full list here. We found that there were plenty of surprises among the nominees as you can see for yourself:
GLBT Company of the Year
As you can see this is an surprisingly odd collection of studios, websites, media outlets, billing companies , VOD, etc. It's strange to see all these different types of companies competing against each other. Not sure if it works--but congratulations to the nominees.

Gay Performer of the Year
All in all it's hard to tell whether the nominees or eventual winners here will be an indication of other awards to come, but we'll find out when the awards are handed out on February 10. We are fascinated to see that the GLBT nominees are a good cross-section of the past year although a few more categories still are in order.
