Hard Friction: The Review
Having seen both Steve Cruz & his real-life bf Bruno Bond in action onscreen and having seen their off-camera production work we felt pretty confident knowing what to expect with Hard Friction from Raging Stallion. That said, even with our high expectations we were still totally impressed with this release. It works on every level, from the casting to the production values to the very hot performances. As you might have read Hard Friction is actually a compilation of videos from the upcoming Cruz/Bond online video site of the same name. If this DVD is any indication (and we think it is) of what the website Hard Friction is going to be like then it's no wonder that Raging Stallion refers to it as "America's next big porn company".
Hard Friction isn't a movie in the strictest sense of the word because it features a six diverse sex scenes or vignettes that are totally unrelated to each other. However, Steve Cruz & Bruno Bond have infused each scene with unifying style and a point of view that sex should be fun & pleasurable with real chemistry and a total turn-on to watch. And Hard Friction IS just that.
The first scene is titled Hard and stars Bruno Bond & newcomer Roman Wright (who we first saw in the Mustang flick Darkroom). This is one of those sultry scenes that we love---the momentum builds slowly and deliberately so that before you even realize it it's become close to high energy. There's something so seductively hypnotic about watching two masculine, well-built and hairy men take their time instead of diving into the hardcore stuff. They share deep kissing and mutual blow jobs before Bruno Bond is lying face forward with his hard hairy muscle butt offered up for Roman Wright to devour and plow. He does just that but again it's done realistically--Roman tops Bruno slow and deep. It's Bruno who takes it up a notch by riding Roman like a champ.
In the second Hard Friction scene Slurp! classic Steve Cruz returns. We'll have to see more of Fabio Stallone to make a call about him but Alessio Romero has really got it going on. He's got a hot body and handsome face but steers away from being a pretty boy. He's yet to have any dialog so he conveys more with quiet intensity.
Ride is hot little sex fantasy that takes place in the mind of motorcycle rider Dominic Pacifico. Steve is also cinematographer & editor, concepts, some of the music, AND the site logo!. Bruno handles art direction & editing, concepts, and product assistance. Hard Friction the website may not premiere until the first part of January 2010 but Hard Friction makes the wait palatable while increasing our excitement.
