Emmanuel DelCour Levi Johnston Taylor Lautner
This past week there have been several hot topics that plenty of people seem to be talking about or at least blogging about or tweeting about and re-tweeting, and.... well, you get the idea. If you've missed out on some of the buzz we have some recaps on the items we found the most interesting.
On Monday, Bravo aired the first episode of Chef Academy, a new reality/competition show that has some real potential. The premise is that famed French chef Jean-Christophe Novelli is opening an American branch of his European cooking school in Los Angeles (the "academy" is actually in Venice) and he's taking his pregnant wife & top assistant along for the ride. Nicknamed the "world's sexiest chef" Novelli is actually a character with interesting tastes in American pop culture. In the kitchen he's all business and a strict teacher although he thankfully is without the loud temper of at least one TV counterpart. Nine students are chosen following interviews & auditions and though none are "eliminated" each week, it's possible for any one of them to be unable to graduate if they get three "fail" marks on their cooking tests.
Of the nine students the one that is generating the big buzz is Emmanuel DelCour, the handsome & ripped Frenchman who is so laid back it drives Novelli slighting nuts. DelCour moved to LA and has been acting in mainstream productions however in France he was award-winning porn star Jean Val Jean. You can imagine how many google searches were done on him! In fact some of his fellow students do a little research on their own in next week's episode. DelCour has been showing off his hot bod since retiring from porn so we've included a couple pics so you can see why he's got buzz.

On the other hand the news that Levi Johnston's johnson won't be on full display in his Playgirl photo layout (due online on Saturday) was a bit of a buzzkill. Oh sure, there are still plenty of people who are curious to see Sarah Palin's grandbaby daddy mostly in the buff. However, Levi better start to work on his next move. Although Palin virtually ignores him in her just-released book (BTW, is it in the biography or fiction section?) she hasn't kept her lips closed in interviews and at one point mentioned Levi's "porn career". Ooops! She better be careful. Levi has more dirt on her he's kept mum about and if she says a few more choice words who knows what will happen.

A few pics have been leaked and pretty much confirmed the lack of full frontal nudity. There are several butt shots though. The butt is cute enough but we reserve judgment till we see further evidence.

On the subject of feuds there's a minor skirmish going on right now between Out Magazine editor Aaron Hicklin & American Idol runner-up & instant star Adam Lambert. The newest issue features the "Out 100" and Adam is on the cover and inside as the "Breakout of the Year" but the road to this "honor roll" was a slightly rocky one. In an editorial Hicklin takes Lambert to task and Lambert responded via Twitter & an interview with EW. Out in turn responded and since then things have calmed down. We pretty much saw both points of view in this tiff so hopefully these things will iron themselves out. Neither the magazine
nor the star will benefit otherwise.

While he isn't naked in the second Twilight movie, New Moon actor Taylor Lautner's muscled up body has been generating buzz for weeks and weeks. The movie opened to some unfavorable reviews but we doubt fans of this vampire series or "admirers" of Lautner's bod will be staying away. He's only 17 but like Mario Lopez on Saved By The Bell we're sure Taylor Lautner has fans of ALL ages. Not having read the books we were surprised to learn that Lautner's working out and adding 30 lbs of muscle was necessary for his role. His character Jacob is the same age & part Native American like Lautner but he's also a shape-shifting supernatural creature who grows bigger than human in the series. They almost recast the role for the second movie but Taylor Lautner did his workout routine & kept the role. Who knows what's next as the character gets bigger!

Back to the adult world, there's plenty of buzz about next weekend's release of the Raging Stallion all-star porn noir blockbuster Focus/Refocus. Preview pics have been making their way on several blogs and Raging Stallion has updated its website with pre-order info, newer pics and the cast list. As we expected Focus/Refocus is a two part-film like To The Last Man. Both Focus and Refocus are comprised of two discs each while a fifth disc Focus/Refocus: POV is likely to feature the footage shot by the hand-held cam that is integral to the plot. Obviously there's going to be lots of extras including behind-the-scenes material, outtakes, a videography, etc. For now Raging Stallion is holding off on more details but we're very excited about what we've seen.
As for that cast list of Focus/Refocus we mentioned above the site says it will be updated with more details and pics but we're pretty sure the list is complete. It features Adam Killian, Angelo Marconi, Brogan Reed, Bruno Bond, Cole Streets, Conner Habib, Damien Crosse, David Taylor, Francesco D'Macho, Jason Crew, Mitchell Rock, Ricky Sinz, Ryan Raz, Scott Tanner, Steve Cruz, Tristan Jaxx, & Wilfried Knight. We're purposely trying to stay away from plot spoilers but we were intrigued by some of the pics and stuff we heard. Naturally the stars like David Taylor, Cole Streets & Steve Cruz are
generating positive buzz but we also heard that there are a few guys to watch out for here like Ryan Raz, Conner Habib, and Mitchell Rock. We've got our copy on order so we hope to review it as soon as possible.

Lastly gay porn's favorite and self-proclaimed slut Mason Wyler has had quite a few tales to tell since he began blogging, first at MySpace (until they deemed it inappropriate) and then at Wyler Nation (by the way, most if not all the Wyler Nation blog is replicated at the blog on his own Next Door Studios site, Mason Wyler). His latest misadventure is worth checking out since it involves his encounter with a fellow porn performer. Leave it to Mason to get involved in all kinds of drama! Of course a few people involved in this story have weighed in so we're willing to bet that this story may have legs.
