The Trap: The Review
We can best describe The Trap from Raging Stallion as fetish with flair. It's a dark & sexy outing with a very hot cast in some very fascinating scenarios which feature all manner of fetish material. Even if you think you've seen it all before you'll probably be surprised to see a few new wrinkles in this genre. Even so this film is reasonably accessible because it lacks many of the disturbing and/or cringe-inducing elements and overall tone that sometimes is found in leather/fetish flicks that even have the best of intentions. In fact at times The Trap is actually fun.
The story in The Trap unfolds very quickly. Sexy & muscular Junior Stellano is cruising and following Bruno Bond down a city street when Bond furtively lifts a sidewalk grate and goes down inside, signaling Stellano to follow him. Of course like a horny modern gay male version of Alice in Wonderland Junior Stellano takes after his white rabbit and climbs down a steel ladder to seek him out. He finds Bruno Bond naked and waiting and the two have a hot suck 'n' jerk session. Stellano plans on leaving after the quickie but Bond asks him to follow him further into the depths of what turns out to be an underground fetish & sex club.
Stellano puts on a pair of shoes and nothing else and tries to follow Bond but loses his trail. Thus begins Junior Stellano's little sexual odyssey as a neophyte in this underground world. Given his rough looks it's surprising to find Stellano in this role but he does a good job at expressing astonishment where ever he goes in this strange club. He first happens upon super-hung Antonio Biaggi using a cock pump on himself -- as though he really needs it--before jerking off his engorged member. Whether he's with someone or solo as he is here Biaggi has a great on-camera presence. He doesn't have to act sexy...he simply is!

Junior Stellano walks down another corridor where he finds another room with a bizarre scene--Ricky Sinz holding back a couple of barking attack dogs. However in this case the barking dogs are naked guys with leather dog masks, black boots, paw-gloves, and buttplugs with tails. Stellano bolts out immediately leaving Sinz to discipline his somewhat unruly pups. He plays with their "tails" and gets one of pups to top the other one--yes, doggy-style. He unmasks his pups as Conner Habib & RJ Danvers and the three have a very high-energy three-way. Yep, like dogs in heat. It's great to see Ricky Sinz in action again, doing what he does best as a very verbal & hot top. Habib & Danvers seem to have a lot of fun here too, playing like dogs and having some hot sex in the process.
Stellano takes an elevator down to an even lower level passing one floor where two guys are having one very long mutual buttplay session with lots of toys & devices. Andre Barclay and Angelo Marconi really go to town here working each other with various dildos, a heavy duty butt-fucking machine, and ending with a double-headed dildo. We don't know how long it took to film this sequence but we have a feeling that after these two guys were done they were either done for a few weeks or ready for anything.
Junior Stellano reaches the bottom floor (no pun intended) and opens the small elevator door (again another Alice In Wonderland moment) to go explore some more. Meanwhile, two hot guys in elaborate leather masks (Austin Wilde & Tristan Jaxx) sucking on the amply cock of another masked stud, the smooth muscular Spencer Reed. He quietly but forcefully prods the two guys to service him at length until an alarm goes ---an intruder alert of sorts. Spencer snaps his fingers and his two "service providers" nab Junior Stellano as he walks through the curtained portal. They through a hood over his head and cuff him to a hanging bar. The three captors manhandle him and get him all excited before unmasking him and releasing him to join in a hot & sweaty mini-orgy. Austin Wilde & Tristan Jaxxx are good as the slave boys because they are far from robotic and hot to look at. As for Spencer Reed he has this quiet, yet forceful way of being a hot, hard-driving top without overacting or barking out orders. By being subtle he stands out more.
Junior Stellano & Bruno Bond meet up again at the starting point---the room where the guys check their clothes---for one more sex session. Thanks to a sling and a black sheeted bed (leather?) they have a very intense and heated flip-flop session. We already knew that Bruno Bond is one hot & dynamic performer from the beginning of his career but it seems with every role he takes, he just keeps getting better and more confident in his roles. As for Junior Stellano he has a lot to do in this flick and he does a great job mixing it up and being more than eye candy. He's quite good at playing the audience's surrogate--a curious everyman thrust into a lurid but attractive situation. Did we mention that he's got a smokin' hot bod that that positively eye-riveting?
Director-editor Andrew Rosen brings a wonderful sense of style to The Trap, what we referred to earlier as "fetish with flair". For all the diverse sex scenes the film is a remarkably cohesive venture. Most of Rosen's past work was as an editor so he and it shows in the way the film moves along pretty seamlessly and with some well-composed scenes. Bruno Bond is also a major contributing factor here because in addition to appearing on camera he's also an assistant director, cinematographer, set designer, and handles costumes. Whew!
We were also impressed by some of the other elements that contributed to the "flair". P Cooper designed an interested logo for The Trap that is incorporated through the club set and is seen on the wrist bands of the club members. It adds a sense of realism to an otherwise surreal setting. You may ponder whether such a club as this really exists. Male Stockroom gets great product placement here thanks to the use of "gear, wear, and toys". In fact, many of you might be surprised to learn that some of the stuff here even exists and might be tempted to see what else the store offers.
