Behind the scenes at Cocksure Men
Isn't is interesting how we all seem to be fascinated with what goes on behind-the-scenes on websites and in movies and finding out what certain porn stars are really like? It's a bit like learning the secrets of magic shows. There are many people who just have to know how sleight-of-hand tricks are done, how magicians make people levitate, disappear, etc. Oh sure, there are people who don't want to know the secrets just as there are probably many who don't have any interest in what goes behind-the-scenes of porn videos or watching live shows where you're more likely to learn about performers. But for those who are interested the makers of gay porn seem to be doing more to satisfy those desires.
This week the new Cocksure Men video was a first, not just for the site but for Jake Cruise: a "behind-the-scenes" video compilation. Titled Behind the Scenes 1 (duh!) the video features outtakes, deleted scenes, and that off-camera stuff suggested in the title. You'll find out things work and how sometimes they don't. It's all pretty hot & sexy and you'll probably learn a bit more about the guys who perform at Cocksure Men. We've got a little crush on cutie Lance Bennett so we were delighted to see some extra footage of him and find that his on-screen charm is natural. Our favorite moments here are with him--when he's with AJ Irons and he comments to the camera "he's quite a dirty talker!" & when he finds his "g" spot.
Behind-the-scenes videos are fascinating to watch and they allow studios and sites to make the most out of the footage they shoot. Sean Cody has been doing this for years, especially with pivotal scenes. Coupled with the interview segments at the beginning of most videos you pretty much get a good idea about the guys' personalities--at least as far as they want you to know. Corbin Fisher has also maximized its output with "bonus" videos that include all kinds of extras like before & after sex scenes, the guys chatting, showering, etc. It's something that the site has also been doing for years but just this year started putting it all into a special section. And, as w've mentioned before Cocky Boys includes bonus interview footage that accompanies most of the videos.
Randy Blue also makes use of behind the scene & "making of" footage but it shows it on the blog, which doesn't require a membership. It's mostly used as an enticement but you will get to see a bit more of the guys on the site. Randy Blue also has its live shows several times a week which again give you even more of an idea about the models. The format is pretty standard but it does its job as a good "meet & greet".
Hot House Backroom, Manifest Men, Bang Bang Boys, & Frat Men are also notable for putting in extra time, effort, and technology into presenting their live shows. While we're on the subject, the ultimate live show experience takes place at Frat Pad. We've talked about this "real reality show" site many times before and for sheer volume of entertainment (13 hours a day!) it's no wonder that Frat Pad gets nominated time after time when awards time comes around. Besides it gives us the chance to see super-babe Payne.
