Real Guys Exposed: "Docurotica"

Ever since it debuted we've been fascinated with the new website Real Guys Exposed and more specifically with the videos that the site has posted. We believe we've tried our best to describe the site's premise to you but today we learned that a one word description can say it all. We just read a nice piece on Real Guys Exposed over at AVN in which owner Robert Chandler coined the term
"docurotica" in describing his website. When we read that the imaginary cartoon light bulb over the head flashed on. Of course! What a perfect way to describe Real Guys Exposed. We hope Chandler finds some way to copyright or trademark "docurotica" because we have a hunch that other websites are going to try and replicate the concept of Real Guys Exposed.
In case you haven't been keeping track Real Guys Exposed features videos with interviews & erotic solos intertwined. Chandler has a way of getting the guys to open up about themselves and arguably reveal more than you'll see at other sites. If you've ever seen the models & performers at other sites & in movies and wondered "what's the story with these guys?" Real Guys Exposed gives you a chance to find out.
This week's video update is certainly one of the most interesting ones to date. It "exposes" Calvin from San Francisco, a handsome & lean floppy-haired passive-looking young man who looks like he stepped right out of a late 1960s porn and into the 21st century. However, there's a catch. 21 year old Calvin is straight and reveals a "laundry list" of likes & dislikes that will either frustrate you or get you even more interested in him. We can't remember seeing anyone like Calvin anywhere else on the web although if they exist they aren't as revealing as this sexy hustler.
Calvin also represents an interesting departure from what we expected to see at Real Guys Exposed-- namely gay men talking about themselves and their sexuality. That said we've also been interested in what goes on with straight guys who do the "gay for pay" thing in real life & movies. It would be silly to assume that Calvin represents other gay for pay guys (in fact we believe Calvin mostly just represents Calvin) but it is interesting to find out more about this type of guy than we've seen before.
In the short amount of time that Real Guys Exposed has been around we have had to resurrect that old saying "don't judge a book by its cover". We've assumed all kinds of things about the hundreds of guys we've seen on tons of websites and would have done the same with the guys at Real Guys Exposed if the interviews hadn't been included. That's the beauty of this site--it makes you look at porn guys in a new light.
