AJ Irons vs Jason Crystal: And The Winner Is...
During the summer we had a little fun with Jason Crystal & AJ Irons, two newcomers of the year who both seemed to be making an effort to appear on as many sites as possible. We created an online duel by keeping track of their appearances and see who would come out on top by year's end. Even though the year isn't up and there's still a possibility that there are more appearances still to come, we've arrived at a winner--thanks to an unexpected determining factor that happened this week. We're talking about the Cybersocket Awards nominations which were announced this week. In the Best Porn Star category there were 28 (!) nominations (we'll get to that later) and among them was of our two combatants. The way we see it this nomination supersedes everything else so we hereby declare the winner is....AJ Irons!
Frankly the Cybersocket Awards nomination merely expedited matters because it seems that the momentum of appearances has shifted in favor of AJ Irons over the past month or so. Thus, it seems likely that AJ Irons would have won the battle anyway. This also gives us an opportunity to let AJ Irons be the first among the Cybersocket nominees whose body of work we'll be recapping in the weeks to come. AND...while we're on the subject, in case you didn't know Jack Manly is nominated for Best Porn Blog. So we're also putting in a plug for ourselves here (and in future blogs). As for the very versatile AJ Irons, we still find it amazing that he and Jason Crystal didn't wind up in a scene together given the fact that they appeared at many of the same sites and very close to each other chronologically. Fortunately for AJ Irons he's kept his aliases to a minimum and increased his chances for name recognition, but we've listed all his appearances below.
