Tommy Defendi Mitchell Rock Damon Danilo
In this brief news round-up our focus is on a few rising stars and their some of their upcoming projects. As we've noted before, 2009 seems to have had a large number of newcomers & rising stars and we foresee the same trend continuing in the new year.
First up, Manifest Men announced their Manifest Man of 2009, determined by the online voting of site members. This year the honor goes to Damon Danilo. The muscular and hung star has been around for several years, but it wasn't until he appeared at Manifest Men that the buzz really started. In fact the last year has been a busy one for Danilo. He's been shot by several photographers, appeared in Men Magazine and even returned to one of the first sites he ever appeared at, Randy Blue. He's continued to make video & gallery appearances at Manifest Men and he's one of the site's most popular stars in live shows. In addition Damon Danilo is the cover model for the Manifest Men 2010 calendar.

While we're on the subject, we learned that another Manifest Men alumnus, rising star Mitchell Rock did very well in on a bodybuilding competition last month--in fact he took the overall title in the Novice division, he won the Novice Heavyweight division, and he placed second in the regular light heavyweight division. As you might have heard Rock appeared in Taken for Channel 1 and was signed to an exclusive contract with Chi Chi LaRue. His newest release is Gridiron Gang Bang and he filmed Playing With Fire 4 opposite Matthew Rush. Just as it happened with Damon Danilo, Mitchell Rock really garnered some attention once he appeared at Manifest Men. Seems that this muscle site has a good track record for star-making. Oh yes, Mitchell Rock is also up for Men Magazine Man of the Year too!
Rising star Race Cooper, whose site Edger 9 has been attracting some well-deserved attention announced this past week that he's been signed by Chi Chi LaRue to star in Blackballed 7. The Blackballed series has been around since 1995 and has showcased many men of color, including several legendary figures. Cooper had some reservations about signing on and you can read his thoughts on the subject of this series at his blog. It's a good read and pretty insightful.
Lastly, there's a rising star Tommy Defendi who recently changed his look and is getting lots more buzz because of it. Aside from popping up on several sites, Tommy Defendi also recently completed a scene for Adrenaline, the next Steve Cruz/Leif Gobo Mustang flick after Dark Room. Defendi has been around since early 2008 when he debuted at College Dudes 24/7 and made pretty big impression. His tough guy Italian looks made him look older than his 18 years and it got him some gigs at the Suite 703 sites and Twinks.com and featured roles in the movies Seize Your Bottom & South Beach Seductions. By the way one of his Twinks videos is on the DVD Private Resort from Raging Stallion, while he Suite 703 videos can be seen on Hot Jocks Nice Cocks vol 3, Men Hard At Work vol 3, & My Brother's Hot Friend vol 3.
Since then Tommy Defendi gotten even more rough around the edges with a buzzcut and a little facial scruff. Most recently we saw him with this new look at You Love Jack, Circle Jerk Boys, & Extra Big Dicks (did we mention he's hung?). So far Tommy Defendi has been a top and his role in the aforementioned Adrenaline has him doing the same thing although a bit rougher (by the way, his scene partner here will be the focus of one our blogs later this week). It should be interesting to see how the buzz grows on Tommy Defendi.
