Steve Cruz: Hard Friction, Adrenaline & More..
During any busy news cycle like we have right now we can always count on the ever-busy Steve Cruz to provide an ample supply of it. We can't even imagine what it will be like if this guy ever slows down for an extended period of time. Sure, there will always be plenty of guys in the biz that provide tabloid-style news and controversy but we prefer the positive forces that are creative and energetic, and get us excited about new videos. That's Steve Cruz.
First, we have more on Hard Friction, the website that Steve Cruz & his boyfriend Bruno Bond have been working on diligently for the past few months and will launch this fall. The new online video site features Steve & Bruno plus a number of exciting performers, some newcomers, in solo and man-on-man action. Steve & Bruno also direct the videos so it's quite a venture. As of a few days ago Steve told us he was putting the finishing touches on 25 scenes for the site's launch. However, you won't have to wait to see some of the videos because Raging Stallion is releasing a two-disc Hard Friction DVD featuring six scenes from the site. The new division Raging Stallion Releasing will be putting this one out on October 30 and we imagine it will be a limited release just as Stag Fight was. This is one time where we can recommend something BEFORE it's released and before we've seen it. We're not going out on a limb by any means or have some inside info ---we're simply going by Steve Cruz' track record.
The next Leif Gobo/Steve Cruz collaboration Dark Room from Mustang will also be released this month and once again we're impressed simply by the preview pics that both directors have shown on their respective blogs. This one looks like hot, kinky fun. Aside from the creativity and the hot sex we can always count on the directors to provide a great cast and this one is no exception. Of course we like seeing some of our favorite performers return but we also love how Cruz & Gobo get some hot newcomers and make them instant stars.
This coming week Leif Gobo & Steve Cruz start production on Adrenaline, their first Mustang release for 2010. Once again it's got an exceptional cast--it's as though the directors read our minds or asked us who we'd like to see. Samuel Colt, Dominic Pacifico, Spencer Reed, Drake Jaden, Berke Banks, Rob Romoni, Tommy Defendi, and newcomer Ridge Kane. Steve also told his blog readers to "Keep an eye out for tattooed Brazilian Beefcake Alexsander Frietas. My jaw dropped to the floor." Oh yeah, if he got this reaction from Steve Cruz you know he's hot. As for the premise of the flick the title is a good clue--it's all about the "pulsating rush you feel in the heated moment of lust...". This one also features a special soundtrack composed by Dominic Pacifico who is also a DJ in real life (this came as news to us).
While we're on the subject a profile on Leif Gobo and his work in front & behind the camera is long overdue. We'll be presenting a checklist here very soon and from the little bit of research we've already done Leif has an impressive body of work too.
Lastly Steve Cruz was in front of the camera for the upcoming Raging Stallion Thankgsgiving release Focus/Refocus but he has seen some of the Tony Dimarco cinematography which he calls "stunning". Again, if Steve is impressed then you know it's good.
