Whorrey Potter Production Report Exclusive
Ron Sleazely--out............Ron Weasy--in!
After reporting on the news that Robert Van Damme & Dominic Ford were collaborating on several projects (see here) which included the upcoming full-length movie Whorrey Potter & The Emperor's Balls we got a very nice message from Dominic Ford who thanked us and filled us in on some of the casting details on the movie that we still had questions on.
Eddie Diaz has indeed signed on for Whorrey Potter. He'll be stepping in for Blu Kennedy who had to drop out of the project at the last minute. As you recall Kennedy was set to play "Ron Sleazely" and everyone agreed he was the perfect person to play the red-headed character. Everyone was on the set and filming had begun when Blu Kennedy had to leave. According to Dominic Ford it looked like this development might mean they'd have to scrap the whole picture. However, Matthew Rush came up with the idea that if Dominic & his partner were open to the idea, his pal Eddie Diaz was interested in the role. Apparently Dominic's partner had already commented that he wished the cast was more diverse, so this idea of casting Eddie in the role of Ron went over well. In fact they had considered a black actor for the role of "Himmione" but this didn't work out.
Dominic & company had considered replacing Blu Kennedy with another "red-head or a blond twink." However, as Dominic told us "anyone else would have just been 'not Blu Kennedy' and we didn't want that." So they decided to go into a whole other direction and hired Eddie Diaz to portray the key role. They changed the character's name from "Ron Sleazely" to "Ron Weasy" which they thought was simpler and funnier (it's a humorous nod to TV show The Jeffersons). They also changed up some of the dialog to accommodate the casting --there will be reference made to the fact that the porn flick's Ron is decidedly different from the original character.
Dominic Ford was happy & grateful to get Eddie Diaz to join the cast and commended the hot performer for jumping on a plane at a moment's notice & heading to NYC to start filming immediately. As we mentioned Eddie Diaz' starring role is key and he has two sex scenes in the flick---he bottoms for Matthew Rush and has a three-way with Luke Marcum & Cameron Adams (Whorrey & Himmione).
