Triage: The Review

We're starting off September with video reviews and in this case it's a Titan Men double-feature--Triage and Bad Conduct. Both flicks feature some of the newer talent that the studio has snatched up this year along with some of their ever-popular stars. First up, Triage.

While the term "triage" conjures up images of hospital emergency rooms and combat-related medical procedures, the gay porn video Triage is nothing like that. It's very hot & sexy and makes good use of the fetish-like fascination with doctors and hospital workers. In fact the nameless hospital in this movie must be staffed with the horniest and most uninhibited medical personnel you can imagine.

Triage is the first feature directed by Paul Wilde so he gives the theme a fresh approach both stylistically and structurally. True, it's shot in the darkly erotic style familiar to many Titan films but the action in many of the scenes doesn't follow standard procedures and thus deserves more than a casual look.

In the first scene orderly Marco Blaze is straightening up one of the exam rooms when doctor Dirk Yager comes in to examine some x-rays.  Before you know it they're making out, stripping down and sucking each other off. Of course Yager soon is topping Blaze on the table they're going at it loud & hard. Unexpectedly Rick van Sant and Frank Philipp are watching this spectacle and get inspired to do the same. Without warning these two join in to take turns on very vocal Marco Blaze. Usually this kind of scene with more than two performers happens later on in a flick but this is just the first of many nice surprises in Triage. Then there's Marco Blaze who once again shows why he's become a popular star--handsome, hung big & thick and takes it all.

Bryan Slater                                Charly Diaz                                    Rick Van Sant                    Daniel Holden

The unexpected happens again in the second scene. It begins with the narration of janitor Gio Forte suggesting that there's a hint of class conflict at the hospital. As he mops up the floor he pees into the slop bucket and then starts to jack off. NOT unexpectedly doctor Kurt Weber catches the janitor in the act and they go at it immediately. They suck each other and then both jerk off but they immediately go for round two---a hot flip flop. Even though both guys pretty much get equal time and "positions" Gio Forte has a bit more of a dominant persona. There's a glint in his eyes & a smirk reminiscent of Arpad Miklos. Forte is someone to keep an eye on.

Even the doctor's lounge isn't a hormone-free zone in the third scene. Bryan Slater finishes eating and cruises Charly Diaz who's obviously trying to study. When they start going at it they're not very discreet as another doctor Daniel Holden is napping on the cot. Well of course he wakes up and a three-way ensues--one with some very hot uninhibited sex. Bryan Slater may dwarf the two other guys in the cock department but they are all on equal footing in their on screen passion. They all pretty much make use of the entire set which leads us to ask. "does janitor Gio Forte have to clean up messes like this every day?"

The last scene features a couple of EMT's stocking up on supplies and using their time alone to have some fun. If this sounds like a boring premise to end Triage, then get set for another surprise. One of the guys is fetish stud Tony Buff who has all sorts of ways to make a scene more interesting. Hairy pup Colton Steel gets playful with an ace bandage not knowing that he's playing with fire. In the regular edit of the film the two guys suck and then Tony Buff tops Colton Steele. In the director's cut Buff goes to town on Steele with fetish play & bondage involving bandages & catheters. Not for the squeamish but another unexpected element. Star Tony Buff has such a commanding screen presence--natural, verbal, sexy, & he's a fetish pro. But he's also skilled at giving his co-stars like Colton Steele equal footing in spite of being dominated.

Again we give kudos to first-timer, director Paul Wilde for fleshing out a relatively story-free flick and putting in some interesting and surprising touches. We'll be keeping an eye on his work. For more pics check out the Gallery.
