Hunk Watch: John Magnum
There have been several guys that started out at Sean Cody and went on to have careers in studio porn and/or modeling and we've spotlighted a few of them before. For one thing it says a great deal about the quality and prestige of Sean Cody that quite a few guys can use their experience there as a solid stepping stone to something else. Another thing is that for many of these guys we still associate them with Sean Cody. More than likely it's because we get to know them (or at least their on screen personalities) while they're at Sean Cody and that stays with us.
Joey was one of those guys at Sean Cody who was very memorable in several ways. He was big & muscular, confident to the point of almost being insufferably cocky, and yet a true and versatile bisexual. Raised by two lesbian moms he was pretty much open to anything and as a performer he did it all. He was charmingly hammy in front of the camera too which was a good icebreaker for several of the guys that he either topped or topped him. With all this in mind we should have expected him to branch into other porn venues but it was only recently when we saw it happen--Joey is now John Magnum.
You'll probably recall that in July Jet Set Men's Chris Steele posted promo pics of John Magnum who had filmed a Jet Set Straight Edge scene with Hayden Stephens (Seth Sweet). The scene hasn't been posted yet and given the two guys' track record on camera, it's anyone's guess how this scene might play out.
In the meantime John Magnum has been busy doing other projects and building up an "interesting" resume. This week he shows up on the Jake Cruise companion site Straight Guys For Gay Eyes and when we saw this we were thinking it's probably likely he's done some other stuff for Jake. Time will tell and it will be interesting if he and Seth Sweet have a reunion of sorts. We also did a little research to see what else he's done and we came up an eye-opener.
John Magnum has done a few scenes at Transex Domination where he's been played "Master John" to several "she-males". While this kind of fetish material isn't our thing it certainly proves that John Magnum is much more versatile than we first thought. He's got a way to go top the "King of Kink" Wolf Hudson but it's going to be interesting to see what John Magnum's career plan is going to be.
