The Visitor: The Review

There's no other way of phrasing it: The Visitor is a strange movie. But it's this quality that makes it curiously seductive and ultimately very satisfying. It's a mash-up of science fiction and gay porn with a plot that might make you snicker were you simply to read it on paper. However it's filmed and acted with such earnestness that you'll realize that all concerned pulled it off without a hitch---and another Raging Stallion modern classic is born..

The story is this. In The Visitor an alien comes to Earth to study human sexuality, specifically homosexuality, and is so intrigued by it and its many permutations that he has to experience it on his own. At first the alien watches the male-to-male action from the safe distance of a virtual reality-type monitoring system. He is invisible to those whom he watches but he somehow manages to absorb the orgasmic energy and feel the same pleasure they feel. When this isn't enough for the alien he leaves his ship to watch more closely and he seeks out another human to physically interact with. You might be surprised to learn that this story unfolds with essentially NO dialog--only the visuals and the actions of the performers involved.

As we said, on paper this plot may sound somewhat silly but director Tony Dimarco takes a non-satirical approach. The Visitor is a beautifully shot film with rich colors and visual effects that are understated but not cheesy or cheap looking. The style with which Dimarco approaches the material in consistent from beginning to end so that as The Visitor moves from the story to the sex scenes it flows very well as a seamless movie.

Logan McCree plays the title character and Raging Stallion couldn't have cast anyone else in this role. Of course he presents a striking figure in his spacesuit/fetish wear and his tattooed body has always given him a unique persona. However he really sells the movie with facial expressions and body language. You really don't have to try and figure out what's going on in The Visitor if you watch him closely. You CAN learn more when you watch McCree's interview on the second disc but we recommend you hold off until you see the movie in its entirety.

From his space pod or virtual reality chamber the alien Epoc (you'll find his name on disc 2) move about along the streets of SF (where else?) without physically leaving his ship and being invisible to earthlings. He comes upon twp guys (Angelo Marconi & Junior Stellano) making out on the street who take their animal passions into the alley. It's a very interesting scene for the alien and the viewer to watch because it has all the elements of something very sleazy but there's also some serious chemistry going on here. In other words it has hot sex AND passion. It's here where Epoc gets his first taste of experiencing the orgasmic energy given off by these two studs.

From there Epoc hits the club scene (apparently aliens have gaydar too!) where he again watches a backroom sexual encounter between Dominic Pacifico & Austin Wilde. This time the scene IS sleazier and sweatier and as the guys go at it with the music blaring it has a much more raw & animalistic feel to it. Two hot guys with great bodies and yet you can almost sense that once they're done that'll be it between them.

Back on his ship Epoc apparently is now motivated to try and recreate the that feeling of orgasmic on his own. So he opens up his space suit and watches recordings what he saw on Earth while he uses what looks like a bulkier alien version of a Fleshjack. He gets one loud intense orgasm out of it that's so liberating that he now wants to go down to Earth in the flesh.

There's some subtle humor in the next scene when Epoc has his first real sexual encounter. He's still dressed in his space suit and ventures into a leather/fetish club where his attire doesn't even make one head turn. He's drawn to leather muscle man Bruno Bond & his bondage toy Cole Streets easily slips his way into their session which becomes an very intense three-way.

Again the inference is subtle but it seems that even though Epoc has seen & experienced hot & intense sex there was something missing. So, his sex tour of SF goes back to virtual reality mode and he follows (again without being seen) what seems to be a couple (David Taylor & Lucky Daniels)
having a romantic day together and going home to make love. The scene itself is a revelation. First Daniels & Taylor don't seem like they'd be well matched--but they are. The sex is hot, there's lots of kissing, and it all feels very real. We've seen Lucky Daniels in this kind of scene before so the fact that he's convincing isn't so surprising. It's David Taylor who surprised us here. We've always considered him a beautiful man but we've wanted to see him loosen up more and show some more passion--and that's what he does here. There's some obvious irony here that a porn flick is making a statement about love-making and the sexual disconnect.

Epoc discovers this missing element too and seeks it out with an equally passionate flip flop scene with Damian Rios. Again, as he did with his solo scene Logan McCree gets pretty loud to emphasize that his character has discovered the intensity of sexual pleasure. We won't give away how these scene ends because it's also the end of the movie. As such it has an interesting ambiguity much of what just happened and what happens next is up for interpretation.

As we mentioned the second disc of The Visitor features the Logan McCree interview and two solos with Dominic Pacifico & Junior Stellano as well as behind-the-scenes stuff. Aside from learning more about the movie and his character, Logan McCree talks about himself and if you didn't know it already you'll find he's a pretty fascinating man. He may be a bit quirky for some tastes but he definitely in one of a kind and we''' be interested to see if his future movie ideas happen. The Visitor isn't a one man movie but a lot rides on Logan McCree and he performs brilliantly.
