Gay Porn Stars As Super-Heroes: X-Men

                                    Cyclops                                                            Reese Rideout

It's time again for our fantasy casting of gay porn stars as comic book super-heroes and this time we turn our attention to the ultra-popular X-Men.  As you recall from previous blogs we've already "cast" some of these characters--Wolverine, Angel, and Cannonball (see here) but this time we wanted to devote an entire entry to this group of mutant-super-heroes.  Many of you have seen the three movies and the spin-off/prequel featuring Wolverine but as is often the case the film versions of these characters haven't always been to their comic book origins. So we're taking another shot at it.

First, a little background on one of comics' most popular super-hero team. The comic book started out in the early 1960's as part of the new Marvel Comics line co-created by Stan Lee. In the beginning the X-Men were five teenage mutants with special powers who attended a special school run by Professor Charles Xavier (also a mutant) but were also being trained as super-heroes. They were Cyclops, Beast, Angel, Iceman, & Marvel Girl. The comic wasn't a top-seller until the early 1970's when new group of international mutants were introduced to the cast including Wolverine, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Storm,  and others.  Over the years the cast of characters has grown and the line-up in the X-Men comics has kept changing while the number of comics titles featuring these mutant characters has exploded.

                                                            Nightcrawler

First, there's Cyclops. Scott Summers was the first "student" recruited by Professor Xavier and he's been the heroic model leader of the X-Men (off & on) for most of the comics history. He can shoot powerful  "optic blasts" from his eyes but they are also highly dangerous so he wearing ruby quartz glasses & goggles to keep the blasts in check. For Cyclops we chose Reese Rideout who has the body and the heroic stance of a team leader--plus with his glasses he looks the part!

Nightcrawler (Kurt Wagner) is a shape-shifter (although that power isn't employed often) who can also teleport himself. From Germany, his strange looks made him the target of superstitious villagers who considered him a demon. He was recruited by Xavier and found a home with other strange-looking mutant heroes. For this character we had two choices. Both Logan McCree & RJ Danvers are comic book fans so we've wanted to use them in our fantasy casting for awhile. Yes, we know Logan named himself after Wolverine but because of his German background and lean muscled body we felt he could fill the role of Nightcrawler easily. RJ also has that same twinkle in his eyes and body type so we think he could fill this role too.

                                 Colossus                                                                                          Ramon Davos

Colossus (Peter Rasputin) is a huge, muscular youth from Russia who can transform his entire body into a form organic steel. As imposing as he has been portrayed as a quiet and studious artistic type who only uses his powers in the course of battle and only when absolutely necessary. We chose relatively unknown Ramon Davos, a young Spanish bodybuilder whose size and looks almost make him a dead ringer for the comic character. Technically Davos isn't a full-fledged porn star having mostly done solo webcam muscle worship type videos (yes with nudity & more) but he's too good not to use.

               David Taylor                                                       Gambit                                                             Ty LeBeouf

Gambit has been a popular fan favorite ever since he was introduced in 1990. Gambit is Remy LeBeau, a charming Cajun who has been portrayed as a bit of a rogue and thief and an unapologetic ladies' man. He has the power to manipulate kinetic energy and he also has 'hypnotic charm". He's also skilled in card-throwing and hand-to-hand combat. For this character we were split again. David Taylor most definitely has the look of this super-hero so we wanted to use him again  (he was our choice as Captain America).
However, for the sake of accuracy we also have to give a nod to a real Cajun Ty LeBeouf.  Sure, facially he doesn't look like Gambit but he has that Cajun charm and voice and a super-hero build.

                               Bishop                                                                                Diesel Washington

Finally, there's Bishop (Lucas Bishop) who escaped from a prison in an alternate future where mutants were kept in concentration camps. He journeyed back in time to join the X-Men and has been on all kinds of missions. He's an anti-hero whose purpose has evolved several times over the years. He has the ability to absorb all forms of energy that are directed towards him and release it energy from his hands. He's also highly athletic and skilled in combat. Again because Diesel Washington is such a well-known comics fan we knew we had to include him in our casting series in some way and we felt Bishop was a perfect fit for him. As you can see artist Boris Vallejo looks like he has DW in mind too!
