L.A. Zombie: Gay Zombie Porn!

We kid you not---the title of this blog entry is 100% true. Indie filmmaker Bruce LaBruce has just wrapped L.A. Zombie, a sexually explicit horror movie about gay zombies starring Francois Sagat and a handful of other gay porn superstars. You might have seen some strange pics of Sagat made up like a flesh-eating zombie that were leaked on the web and heard rumors about this flick back in the spring but it's all true.

In the course of the last few weeks Toronto filmmaker Bruce LaBruce (Hustler White, No Skin Off My Ass, Super 8 1/2, and others) has been filming L.A. Zombie on location here in LA and though it's been a relatively hush-hush project details have been emerging about this truly offbeat flick. Francois Sagat plays a homeless gay man who dies in a car accident (this is conjecture on our part) and rises as zombie. It's what LaBruce considers is the wave of the future--zombie porn!

You can read all about this project and find out more about Bruce LaBruce at LA Zombie.com but we have a few details here right now. L.A. Zombie is partly inspired by The Mad Man by Samuel Delaney, about a man who has sex with homeless people. As we mentioned  stars Francois Sagat in the title role. It also features other porn stars including Eddie Diaz, Erik Rhodes, Matthew Rush, Rocco Giovanni, Francesco D'Macho & Wolf Hudson. And yes, there are sex scenes in the movie. There are also cameos by model & former Madonna boy-toy Tony Ward (Hustler White) and his BFF Santino Rice (Project Runway) It's produced by Dark Alley's Robert Felt.

The wrap party was at The Spotlight the other night and among the attendees was the cast and porn star Diesel Washington. You might recall that Diesel was in LA the past few days visiting a few industry club events, visiting the offices of Unzipped, and more importantly, working on a top secret project here in town. Obviously we'll find out eventually but it would be a hoot if he was also in L.A. Zombie or doing a cameo or visiting the set. By the way all of this explains why Rush & D'Macho were in town making an appearance at the "Cocktails With The Stars" event, and it might account for Erik Rhodes' appearance in a new Randy Blue video.

As we mentioned, details on this movie are sketchy right now but hopefully we'll know more soon.

UPDATE: After we posted this entry we caught a "behind the scenes" video at House Of Vader which features the cast "horsing around" (you have to see the video to understand). You can see cast we mentioned above as well as Adam Killian so it's possible that he does a cameo or is featured too. We also forgot to mention that Slick It Up fetish wear was also used in the production and deserves a plug.
