Departures & Returns...
Normally we like to report on news items AFTER they happen because as we've learned in the past sometimes imminent events don't always transpire as expected. Sometimes they just don't happen at all. This week we have another round of departures & returns to report but many of them haven't yet happened and the details haven't yet been clarified. Thus, you can definitely take a "we'll wait & see" attitude about this brief report.
Earlier we mentioned that Sean Cody fave Harley was quitting the site by mutual agreement and everything seems definitive. That said, if Harley's career (under his new name Simon Dexter) in modeling and straight porn doesn't sustain the sexy stud we hope that he returns to Sean Cody every now and then. After all, he DOES have a record to maintain.
Not too long ago Collin O'Neal announced he too was leaving the porn biz and shutting down his site and video line. This announcement becomes a reality next week on August 21 when his site is officially shut down. Even when O'Neal made this announcement it didn't sound like an idle threat and this latest word definitely puts the period at the end of a sentence.
On the other end of the scale Michael Brandon is planning his comeback. Originally SF Weekly had published a harrowing yet hopeful story of the popular star's meth addiction relapse and legal problems and his climb back up from the depths. Not too long ago we reported that he was now on Twitter and seemed to be doing well. In fact, it's been reported that he's put on much of the weight he lost and is moving closer to making his comeback a reality. We'd like to see that happen and see Michael Brandon in front of the camera once again.
Then there's the next chapter in Diesel Washington's post-retirement saga. Followers of his blog this week learned he was coming here to LA from Thursday Aug 13 thru Sun Aug 16 to work on a "hush-hush" project that he says is "huge".He goes on to say that "Yes I have retired from making movies....but that doesn't mean I have quit the porn business entirely!!!" You can make what you will of that cryptic remark and try to figure out what it means but chances are we'll find out soon enough. After all Diesel Washington is not shy about reporting news and delivering commentary on a variety of subjects, including his own career.
Lastly, this week Kurt Wild has returned in a new video, courtesy of website Daddy Mugs. Yes, we know Kurt Wild hasn't retired so this isn't really a comeback. But Kurt also hasn't been doing much since he was fired from his Subway after his gay porn career was discovered. As you recall Kurt Wild is one of those gay porn performers that is hard top figure out. He's mostly a bottom but in real life he's married and a father. This certainly was one of the reasons whyhe was one of the guys who appeared on Tyra Banks' gay for pay themed show. In spite of this publicity the only video we saw Kurt in was at Jake Cruise (and who knows when THAT was shot) but it seemed that there wasn't much work for the cute & sexy bottom. married father.
