In Production...

Ah, summer. It's that time of year when the studios gather up their creative & financial resources and get to work on their big fall & winter releases. And you know what? We are as enthusiastic as ever about the prospects for some very interesting upcoming releases. At the top of that list is this year's big all-star Raging Stallion release Focus/Refocus about which we've just started getting info. More on that in a bit.

First a recap of the big releases that we've already talked about:

--Steve Cruz' reign as numero uno (in our opinion) Mustang director continues to surge ahead. The release of Green Door will be followed by the already-wrapped Dirty! which in turn will precede Dark Room which went into production today. We hope to see the first one this week or next and finish our review. Dirty! should be out in September and we assume Dark Room will follow in October or November.

--We've already mentioned that untitled Falcon flick (see News Bites From Twitter) where Ty Colt will top Nash Lawler and which also stars Leo Giamani, Trent Davis, Tony Capucci, & others. Chances are that the Jocks line also has something brewing.

--Jet Set Men has Carjackers which also features a bevy of beauties including rising star Berke Banks.

 --Raging Stallion
has another upcoming release called The Trap which hasn't gotten much press except for the recent pics taken on the set. In then Ricky Sinz is in control of RJ Danvers and Conner Habib, both of whom are leashed and wearing dog masks.

All that said, the aforementioned Raging Stallion blockbuster Focus/Refocus probably will be getting the lion's share of press and blog chatter like last year's To The Last Man. The new Focus/Refocus is reportedly going to cost less but it still have a gulp-inducing budget over $175K. It's being referred to as another epic and this time the genre being tackled is crime drama and more specifically film noir. Once again it will be co-directed by Ben Leon, Chris Ward, and Tony Dimarco so you know that lots will be going on here.

It's been reported that the script by Dan Rhodes is complex and has some controversy including violence, However, it sounds like the directors are keeping the gory stuff off-camera although it will be featured in the finale. That said Raging Stallion is keeping things hush-hush --the cast & crew have been sworn to secrecy. While we do know that Adam Killian, Steve Cruz, and Ricky Sinz are in a scene together the
plot info has not been revealed.

Speaking of the cast it's another big one. Thankfully Steve Cruz is also going to be back in front of the camera in a key role. However the star of Focus/Refocus is newcomer Cole Streets who the studio and directors feel will become a superstar after this film. Also featured in key roles are David Taylor and Bruno Bond while the rest of the cast includes Ricky Sinz (in his 3rd annual RS blockbuster),Scott Tanner, Ryan Raz, Austin Wilde, Wilfried Knight, Adam Killian, Jason Crew, Francesco D’Macho, Damien Crosse, Tristan Jaxx, Conner Habib and Alejandro Fernandez.

   Focus/Refocus
is set to be released on Thanksgiving weekend. As usual as we find out even more info we'll pass it along here.
