Homecoming Week...
We've gotten so used to writing about newcomers and retiring performers lately that this week's videos (including one in production) seemed like homecoming week for several of the "standard bearers" in the biz. So today we're devoting our blog to them.
At the top of the list is our Jack Manly perennial favorites Steve Cruz. We tend to forget that while he's making his mark as a director, model, entrepreneur, etc he is a Raging Stallion exclusive and in was homecoming week for him there. Steve tweeted that this week he filmed a scene for the studio's BIG release of the year Focus. We have no idea what the upcoming movie is about but the scene Steve Cruz filmed already has us sold---it's a three-way with Ricky Sinz & Adam Killian! So you see it's a return for Sinz too and we get to see Killian get the RS treatment. Raging Stallion also released The Best of Steve Cruz Vol One which features five classic Steve Cruz scenes. You notice they called this "volume one"? Yep, it's hard to limit his best work to just one disc.
This week Jake Cruise & Cocksure Men brought back some audience favorites just like old times. Paul Jerrod showed up on Tuesday's video post at Jake Cruise looking as sexy as ever (if not more). It's interesting that Paul has been around several sites over the years but hasn't ever overplayed it. Derrek Diamond & Pat Bateman finished up the week at Jake Cruise with Pat topping Derrek. We've been noticing a lot more of Derrek lately while Pat Bateman has been relatively quiet. Remember how last year he and BFF Rusty Stevens were making all those appearances on different sites and movies and running afoul of the blogosphere? In fact, Bateman was almost public enemy #1 in the world of "gay for pay" porn.
Seth Sweet (aka Hayden Stephens & Evan Grey) has changed his look so much since he first appeared in gay porn that he almost feels like a newcomer. He's grown his hair longer & slimmed down from his thick muscled military look and become more of the eager bottom type. This week he returns to Cocksure Men and is paired with equally eager top Arpad Miklos. It's a massage fantasy video although Arpad isn't much of a skilled masseur. At Next Door Studios Mason Wyler wound up with TWO videos this week. His Monday solo video at his own site was followed by Friday's dirty sexy reunion with Tommy D. As we have mentioned before Tommy D has really ratcheted up his style in the last year. He's been in the biz since 2001 and mentioned in an interview that he may only be in it for a couple more so he's purposely opening up his performances. He's doing more bottoming and he's gotten more verbal. Other newer sites (Cody Cummings & Mason Wyler) have patterned themselves after Tommy D so we're hoping that Cody Cummings follows Tommy's lead. After all, it was probably Tommy's influence that got his buddy Nash Lawler to bottom.
Then there's Cocky Boys which seems to have an endless well of talent and continues to mix & match them perfectly. The week ended with a super hot scene with veterans Guy Parker & Jude Collin. Now
we all know that both guys have enough experience to be able to add authenticity to their scenes but it really doesn't feel like these are doing any performing.
If there's one site that the 'homecoming" theme seems most appropriate it's Corbin Fisher and its Amateur College Men videos. This week the site's biggest star Lucas returned and bottomed for new guy Bryan. Lucas is also back to being a shaggy haired blond---it suits him too. The star of over 50 videos at Corbin Fisher never goes out of style and we are so happy that Lucas is back.
Lastly, the thing with all of the guys that have appeared at Corbin Fisher is that the site always gives them a chance to make a lasting impression. When the guys venture to other sites we still think "oh that's so and so from Corbin Fisher". It happened early this week when Dylan showed up at Randy Blue as Brett Swanson. Then it happened again with Dante, an avid fan of CF who had his fantasies fulfilled by appearing in 7 scenes at the site.
