That 70's Gay Porn Movie Part One: The Review
As long as we're in a retro mood, we might as well say it.....That 70's Gay Porn Movie Part 1 is a blast! Randy Blue has outdone itself again with a hilarious and sexy spoof of 70's porn that is impossible not to like. It's not necessary to have watched any porn from the era to appreciate this little gem and the work that went into it, but if you have you'll appreciate it all the more.
First let's clear up the confusion. Randy Blue has indeed split That 70's Gay Porn Movie into two videos and it looks like the second part won't air for at least a few days. However, it could show up tomorrow as far as we know. We also thought that the whole video would run about an hour like last year's Alley Cats. In fact That 70's Gay Porn Movie Part 1 itself runs just under an hour and we assume part 2 will too meaning that altogether this will be an almost two-hour video.
That 70's Gay Porn Movie Part 1 all takes place in 1977 on the campus of Sapphire State and centers on the mischief of the pledges and brothers of fraternity Delta Iota Kappa (or DIK for short). The pivotal character in part 1 is Wooky (Christian Sharp), a new pledge who's resented by the residents because he's a "legacy" pledge-- according to his mom played by "Edna Wopat" his grandfather founded the fraternity. The top dog at the fraternity is Skip Deushee (Xander Scott) who has a couple of willing stooges Boner (Brandon Kent) and Swallow (Vincent DeSalvo) and who is planning pledge week with stoner Buck Roger (Reese Rideout) presiding. The pledge ceremony itself is a goofy affair with monk-like robes, fake skulls, candles, paddling, etc with pledges Wooky, Meat Stick (Mike West), Star Wars junkie Hot Dog (Ethan Parker) and horny cowboy Tex Dustin Steele.
Each of the pledges is given a task to perform for their initiation with the most difficult foisted on Wooky. Hot Dog's task is to sneak a dildo into the desk of Professor Ben Davidson (Leo Giamani) who just happens to be the object of Hot Dog's lust. Of course Hot Dog is caught by mustache-wearing Prof Ben and forced to service him. Wooky doesn't quite succeed at his task and has to resort to giving up his body to Deushee to get into the fraternity. After this is where the plot thickens & ends in a cliffhanger twist.
The look and feel of 70's porn is spot on in this video. The music, clothes, hairstyles, the dialog, and the low-budget cinematography will definitely take you back in time. Surprisingly the acting is actually better than you might think. Sure, Reese Rideout purposely hams it up but most of the other guys are convincingly natural, especially Christian Sharp, Xander Scott & Leo Giamani. This may be the first time outside of the Randy Blue live shows that you'll hear more than a few words coming out of the mouth of Leo although we would like to have seen him handle even more dialog. Then there's the debut of Edna Wopat who reminded us of a softer Edie (from Girls Will Be Girls). Pretty darn funny.
There are also some nifty little touches in That 70's Gay Porn Movie Part 1 such as fake film scratches, a "break" in the film strip, ad a few inside jokes like the mention of the school's founder "Randolph Sapphire" and the presence of the Randy Blue Live banana pillow.
When all is said & done That 70's Gay Porn Movie Part 1 is very satisfying entertainment. It's great fun as parody AND as very hot online gay porn, which is even more important. After all it doesn't matter that a gay porn video has all kinds of production values if it doesn't "satisfy" on a sexual level. The fact that Randy Blue pulls off both in this video is an accomplishment that's definitely not easy to do.
