Adult Stars as Super-Heroes Part 2: The Blonds

Nate Christianson Thor Brad Patton
When we decided to do our open-ended series of casting gay porn stars as comic book super-heroes we knew there were tons of real guys from which to choose and plenty of characters to match them with. This became very evident when we began this fun little game of "fantasy role casting" with Wolverine (see Adult Stars as Super-Heroes: Wolverine). In fact, we could have added more to the list of candidates but that surely would have bogged us down and taken the fun out of this. So for future installments we thought it better to keep it simple with as few choices as possible
Today we're going to cast some of the blond super-heroes that populate the Marvel and DC Universes.
Thor. At Marvel the Norse god of thunder was a tall muscular blond who was originally exiled to Earth by his father Odin in order to teach him humility. We thought of two muscular Scandinavian types who would fit the bill--Nate Christianson and Brad Patton. Neither is active these days but compare favorably with actor Chris Hemsworth who was cast in the upcoming movie. Nate only did "solo" stuff and has done fitness modeling. Brad is an Australian raised in Sweden, hence the slight accent that would make him ideal.
We've never had any qualms about expressing our personal preferences for certain performers on our blog entries and we're not making any exceptions for this series. Scott Tanner is one of our "crushes" so as far as we're concerned he'd be our #1 choice for many of the blond super-heroes on our list. But the first super-hero that came to mind when we thought of Scott Tanner is Aquaman. The DC underwater hero has had it rough the last few years in comics but he's been one of our favorite characters for a long time and Scott Tanner would do him justice.

Scott Tanner Aquaman Green Arrow Jake Deckard
Another blond DC hero is Green Arrow. His look is patterned after Robin Hood and for much of his early career he was a Batman/Bruce Wayne type. In the '60s the hero's alter ego Oliver Queen (yes, that's his name) lost his fortune and changed his look and 'tude--he became more of a liberal anti-establishment crusader with a sexy goatee. So you can see his attraction to gay comic readers. We thought of Jake Deckard with his blondish goatee and rough sexiness. In his case we could pop on a hairpiece or keep on his cap, but he suits the character well as is too.
The Flash is a lean muscled hero with super-speed and though the costume hasn't changed significantly, the man under the mask has. DC recently resurrected blond Barry Allen as the alter ego to the super-hero and when we saw the Men At Play pics of Levi Poulter we made our choice. Levi has a super-hero look anyway so there's very little to do except get him to shave and he's all set. By the way, check out his profile at Model Mayhem and see if you don't agree that he could easily play some other characters like Green Lantern---in fact, in one pic Levi looks "super"

In the X-Men comics Angel is blond, handsome & wealthy young heir Warren Worthington III who sprouted wings when he was a teen but kept them a secret as long as he could before being recruited by the mutant super-hero group. In the third X-Men movie Angel was more of a tortured, edgy hero but for our casting we're going back to his original look. When we saw Bobby Clark at Cocky Boys and in the Colt/Buckshot flick Boy Country his blond hair and "angelic" look made us think he'd be perfect in our fantasy X-Men movie.

Another marvel mutant super-hero that isn't as well known to the general public is Cannonball. Also known as Sam Guthrie, he was one of the founding members of the New Mutants team and later X-Force and his look has changed since he was first introduced. However we think that Mason Wyler is almost a dead ringer for the original Sam Guthrie, the simple country boy with super-powers.
Our last hero is perhaps the most famous, Captain America. He's got the iconic All-American look--handsome, muscular & blond hair and as such is hard to cast. There are several newer stars that could play him in a few years--Ty Colt and Marcus Mojo come to mind. There are also guys that are now retired that could easily have played Cap during their heyday--Rex Chandler, Ken Ryker, Kevin Williams (when he returned to porn), and Brandon Irons. We even considered Mark Dalton. The guy we picked is someone who has the super-hero face and stance, if not the hair. Sure, the tatts aren't exactly befitting for an All-American do-gooder but you won't see them in a costume!
Again, we welcome your comments and suggestions!
