Randy Blue Takes A Trip To The 70s
Randy Blue is taking his members back in time to the 1970's for this year's event-style video and it looks like it's going to THE video of the summer. Simply titled "That 70s Gay Porn Movie", this extra length retro-style video arrives on Friday July 31 and features an all-star cast of nine Randy Blue studs doing their best to capture a bygone era. From pictures and the poster that Randy Blue has released in advance of this video it looks like great fun. It also shows that when it comes to doing an event-style video Randy Blue knows how to do it right and raise the bar every time. It's one reason why we could easily refer to this edition of "Website Rumble" as "Summer Smackdown".
The Randy Blue blog has been methodically & skillfully rolling out info on "That 70s Gay Porn Movie" mostly with intriguing & humorous pictures (as you can see here). During the last few days we've gotten a little more substantial info on the simple idea of showing what a Randy Blue would look like if it was filmed in 1977 with a college campus backdrop. According to the blog this video will feature "...horny college students getting it on, frat boys' homoerotic hazing rituals, and student/teacher sex fantasies.." The video features Randy Blue stars & newcomers Xander Scott, Christian Sharp, Leo Giamani and Ethan Parker, Vincent DeSalvo, Brandon Kent, Dustin Steele and Mike West with a cameo by Reese Rideout. As you can see everyone is decked out in retro gear and some of the guys really look like they were plucked right out of that era. Randy Blue also promises that the video will also feature an orgy--how '70s!
Randy Blue has made a tradition of sorts with these event videos that are fully-scripted as well as extra-length--the last one being The Coach 2 released back in February. However it's been over a year since the site has released anything this big or as stylistically interesting. That would be the "porn noir" mini movie Alley Cats which was more darkly satirical. These are the kind of videos we love because it puts an element of fun into erotica.
This element of fun we speak of is one of the reasons why Randy Blue and other sites in our "Website Rumble" series have become successful. When you start out with videos that are fun to watch and guys that look like they enjoy performing it's sure to attract an audience.
