Dominic Ford: 3D on DVD!

Marketing is key when it comes to the success of online video websites and relatively new site Dominic Ford has been putting in a major effort in this regard since it first debuted. It has culminated this week with the announcement that on July 6 Dominic Ford will be releasing its first 3D DVD, 3D Porn Stars Vol 1. As expected it's all in 3D and features four of the site's most popular scenes with some of the hottest names in the biz--Arpad Miklos, Vinnie D'angelo, Antton Harri, Blu Kennedy, Manuel Torres, Vin Costes and Brandon Monroe.
3D Porn Stars Vol 1 is being distributed exclusively by Marina Pacific but it will be also be available for purchase in the store section at Dominic Ford. You might have heard that Dominic Ford has been selling this DVD at major events and has sold out of them at IML, Disney Gay Days, and most recently at the NYC Pride event. The site let us know that they gave away over 2000 pairs of 3D glasses at this latter event and the result was a long line of curious onlookers waiting to see the private promotional screening at the Dominic Ford booth.

3D Porn Stars Vol 1 is region-free and playable on any DVD or computer and the previously mentioned scenes along with a 3D photo gallery. If you've seen the site you know that this means these are NOT screencaps, but real high quality photos shot in 3D. The videos themselves have much more to them than stellar appeal although they are certainly a major draw. They are all shot in HD and the action is directed with 3D in mind. In other words you might feel like your eye is going to be poked at by an erection or that you might get splooged on.
Jack Manly has also learned that Dominic Ford is celebrating this DVD launch with a window display at The Blue Store in the Chelsea district of NYC. As you can see in the pic the display features large likenesses of the performers, 3D glasses, and the DVD. In addition the high demand has spurred on the company to put out a SECOND volume, again featuring more 3D and top performers. Once again Dominic Ford is following the model of successful websites that came before it with proactive marketing.
