Port of Entry

To be honest, you don't have to see the cult gay classic Querelle in order to understand the new Raging Stallion flick Port of Entry because it's not really based on the 1980s Fassbinder film. However, you won't full appreciate the inspiration that director Tony Dimarco derived from the original movie to put together the highly stylized sex flick. We don't often use the word "artistic" when it comes to reviewing new adult films but that's exactly the description that comes to mind when we look at Port of Entry.
Port of Entry is an all-sex flick so it doesn't really have an plot or script but it does have the overall theme of sexual encounters among seafaring men and those who work the sometimes seedy dockside environs. In keeping with the theme, the sex is all hot and slightly gritty but because of the artistry of the cinema-tography and music there is a surprisingly strong element of eroticism here. This eroticism is sometimes sorely lacking in adult films and Port of Entry shows that it can be essential.
As we mentioned Port of Entry doesn't really have a script or dialog which turns out to be a boon for the performers here. Dimarco gets them to use their eyes and body language to convey the scenarios and their characters' thoughts. If you think about it Port of Entry is not that dissimilar from mainstream silent movies that required more visual work on the part of the artists and the audience.
Right from the opening credits when the orchestral music plays and you see the rich visuals you'll realize that you're going to see something decidedly different. With that in mind, the first scene is just as unusual and erotically mysterious. A game of chance between a shrouded figure and a seafaring man turns into a hot anonymous sexual encounter between Logan McCree and David V. Logan fully understands the dialog-free challenge and worked it to his advantage in several ways. But you really have to watch carefully to see how he does it (our favorite moment is the instant in the beginning when he thrusts out his chest in act of pure seduction).
The next scene features Tristan Phoenix and Zack Jamison cruising each other on the docks and getting it on. They start off slow but turn their scene into a rough & tumble, heated up flip flop. Tristan has always been a hard read because he is intense even when quiet. With his sexual heat Zack reminded us of Steve Cruz who surely would have been a welcome addition to this flick.
Tristan Jaxx & Pistol Pete play two guys from the loading docks who don;t speak one word to each other but know what they want. Their scene almost seems romantic in nature as though they're playing two men whose deep emotions have been felt for a long time but have never acted on it. They pretty much keep a slow pace to the proceedings before cutting loose at the end of a relatively brief scene.
Finally, there's the pairing of David Taylor and Bruno Bond . The scene is a blue collar vs white collar/labor vs management scenario which carries with it inherent tension and heat. Tall David & shorter Bruno play it perfectly and though there's not mental connection between the two, the physical bond is strong & quietly powerful. As a newcomer to studio films David Taylor has a bit more to prove but Tony Dimarco carefully gives viewers just a taste so that we'll crave more.
Fortunately we don't have long to wait. On the second disc there are two "dockside" solos--one with Ethan Roberts, the other with David Taylor. In his solo, David works his sexy body and his drop-dead handsome face and blue eyes and it's highly doubtful you won't get smitten with him. If not there's an interview with David Taylor that's frank and fun and he is so charming and ingratiating you want to go right up and give him a great big kiss. You'll learn a lot about this sexy guy. There's also an interview with Bruno Bond that may give you a whole new take on this sexy muscled guy. You'll learn that he's not just a performer, he's one of the creative people behind the scenes.
As you can tell we're a little sparse on the scene details of Port of Entry and that's deliberate. Even though we wouldn't be giving away any plot points we prefer you go into the flick with a fresh look so that you will appreciate it as much as we did.

I love David V. I first saw him as Cesar on F4F, then as Dillon Rodriguez on drakerock.com, and he bottomed in some foreign film (forgot which company). He's hot and I love watching his ass get pounded!
