Porn Stars In Love: The Review
It could be argued that one of the ways to make a memorable adult film is to take some chances. In the past couple of years Raging Stallion has done just that and does it gain with Porn Stars In Love. Now you may believe that a plot-free sex flick with real-life porn couples is not such a risk-taking venture but if you think about it, it's harder to pull off than you think. Consider this: if you were starring in an autobiographical movie, how would you portray yourself? Would you be able to act naturally and believably?
Director Ben Leon has been quite skilled at putting together sex scenes in previous outings and brings it on again for Porn Stars In Love. Each of the scenes in this two-disc set is as diverse as the couples involved and yet it all fits together in a cohesive and fluid manner. In a way Leon does himself a disservice for making this complex task look so effortless.
Porn Stars In Love opens with the sounds of tweeting birds and the pristinely white & angelic bedroom setting engulfed in morning light. Hard to believe that this will all feature some hardcore action. Tristan Jexx & Tristan Sweet are the slumbering couple and Jaxx gets up to wash his face before returning to bed to initiate the action. The thing that struck us right away was that no one addresses the "morning breath" syndrome. We guess it means that love (at least in porn flicks) transcends these kind of obstacles. It's interesting to see the two Tistans together like this because at this stage in their relationship it doesn't look like they're all that into much foreplay or "genteel" sex.
The second scene with Vinnie D'Angelo & Logan McCree can be considered a sequel of sorts to the award-winning scene and flick The Drifter. We imagined this scene taking place sometime after the couple has settled into a relationship (which they have) and they are now so comfortable with each other that the slightest introduction of kink seems very natural. Of course this doesn't stop Logan from being vocal & enthusiastic in the flip-flop action. He's a tiger whether he's on the top OR bottom.
The third scene features guys with newcomers Adam Excell and Morr Foxx who represent the industry's growing interest in exotic Israeli performers. It's a little hard to get a read on these guys because they look so serious here. That said they are very much into full-body sex--it may not involve much mouth to mouth kissing but there's plenty of body to body exploration.
Francesco D'Macho & Damien Crosse finish off the main flick with what can succinctly be described as high-energy passion--and that's putting it mildly. It's as though the couple got a look at the other scenes and decided they were being challenged to ramp it up--which they do from start to finish. Kissing, sucking, and flip-flop action are done with the sort of chemistry you'd find from two guys in love who hadn't seen each other in weeks. No exaggeration, this scene has it all including some cum slurping that you don't see often enough.
The second disc of Porn Stars In Love features a scene with Mannuel Torres & Vin Costas directed by Gio. It's visually a darker set piece but action-wise fits in well with the other scenes. Obviously the guys appear more gritty in this scene but there is a slow, sensual passion too.
Also on the second disc is a cute and funny interview section dressed up like a quiz show. Scott Tanner is the host for this show which is done like the Newlywed Game: each member of the couple is asked questions off-camera and the two guys have to match each other's answers. It really is a lot of fun seeing how the guys met, the perceptions of their relationships, etc.
