LA Gay Pride Festival 2009 Part 2

As we mentioned last time we went to the LA Gay Pride Festival on Sunday June 14 and had a blast. There were performances on the live stages, booths and tables promoting events & causes and selling merchandise & services. As usual it was crowded and yet we stayed as long as we could without getting crazed by it all. We took it all in and found time to get some pictures even though it wasn't easy to get in some shots do to the popularity of the subjects.
As we mentioned there were vendors galore and one of the easiest to notice were those selling skimpy clothes. When you want to sell small items of clothing the rule of thumb is to display them on sexy bodies
as scene above. We doubt the sunglasses were used as a disguise because.. well, it's pretty hard to conceal your identity when you're earing next to nothing.

Not much later we saw sexy star Zack Randall who was there at the BoysPissing.com booth (guess which prop they used?). As you might recall Zack and husband Derek Rivero have moved to Nepal but are back here in the states filming new videos, including some for his own site. Zack Randall couldn't have been sweeter and more personable. It's no wonder he has a big following. We're not familiar enough with Boys Pissing to tell you who's who in the pics besides Zack, but all present were hot & friendly.

As we mentioned before we stopped by the Channel 1 Releasing booth which was heavily promoting Chi Chi LaRue's Taken. Johnny Hazzard had his arms around another hottie but we couldn't identify him (help, anyone?). We didn't see Blake Riley but we did get a shot of sexy exclusive Vance Winter who was semi-off duty. And yes, that's Jeremy Bilding, the soft-spoken star who we first saw in person at the opening of Chi Chi's store. It may seem a little odd but we were dying to ask him the secret of his beautiful skin. There was one more sexy guy hanging out that was wearing a Cocky Boys tattoo--future CB model maybe?
One booth that seemed to be attracting a lot of visitors was the soon-to-be launched Male Match dating site. A site like this would automatically generate interest but the company guaranteed visitors with a bevy of beautiful and built men.

While all this was going on, the festival had one of the best line-ups of entertainment you could imagine. On both author/activist Ben Patrick Johnson & former reality star Marcellas Reynolds MCed along with Billy Masters & Momma. On hand were performers from Upright Cabaret and tons more talent including Deborah Cox, Fantasia, Syesha Mercado, Expose, Teri Nunn & Berlin, and Blake Lewis. We only were there on Sunday and only caught Blake Lewis but we did manage to capture a few photos of him singing.
All in all, everyone seemed to have high praise for the parade & festival this year. Maybe it was the renewed sense of community and political activism. Whatever the reason maybe next year for the 40th LA Gay Pride there will be something truly extraordinary to celebrate on the marriage equality front.
