Tweeting With The Stars
It's possible that many of don't have either the time or inclination to use Twitter. Some of you simply may not even get it. That said, it seems likely that given the events in Iran and how Twitter has been used during this crisis, more of you are thinking more about it and other social networking services. Even before the events unfolded in Iran we were fascinated with the number gay adult websites, studios, and performers who were using Twitter as an effective marketing tool. A few weeks ago The Sword published a list of those in the industry using Twitter and already we can tell you that the list is in need of updating.
As more of the guys in the industry are using Twitter the way they are using it has changed. Of course many of these guys are using it to communicate with each other and some of their fans. As you might expect guys are posting up their daily activities including movies & videos they're working on. Now more than ever they're posting tweets between scenes and links to pics from the set so that fans and/followers can tell who is in a scene, what happened, etc. Yes, many of these Twitterers are posting links to their blogs where they go into greater details. Gay porn blogs obviously give you much more that much won't change, so if you think that Twitter is taking priority over gay porn blogs, you'd be mistaken.
What we like about Twitter (in addition to posting news and links to sites including our own) is that it comes in mighty handy in keeping us informed about the industry. From their tweets we're finding out a lot more about our fave stars and finding new fave stars to follow. As we mentioned in some cases we're getting up to the minute reports from new videos being hot. For example, Steve Cruz was shooting his next Mustang flick this week and both he and several cast members were posting tweets and pics from the set. It wasn't quite the same as being on the set, but it was fascinating just the same.
One of the cast is the ultra-sexy Race Cooper who we first saw in the super-hot Mustang flick XXX directed by Steve Cruz. Before the video was released Steve seemed very enthusiastic about Race Cooper and we knew why once we saw the scene with Race & Scott Alexander. Race is also a very friendly guy and we exchanged some tweets. One in particular involved our planned fantasy casting of adult stars as comic book super-heroes (we're really eager to start this and we'll be announcing it soon). Logan McCree, Diesel Washington, and RJ Danvers are all comic fans and we want their input (as well as including them in our casting) . One more thing ---did you know that in addition to appearing in a handful of new videos Race Cooper has his own online video site? It's called Edger 9 and it's pretty darn hot. We'll be reviewing it soon.
Among the other Twitter users who are great about posting interesting info are RJ Danvers, Nash Lawler, Jason Sparks (he's putting his own site together coming soon), Troy Pickett (Falcon PR), Titan, and many more that we hope to list soon. Speaking of RJ Danvers wait until you see the outfit he's wearing in an upcoming Raging Stallion flick called The Trap with Ricky Sinz. Check it out at RJ's blog.
One last thing of a non-Twitter nature. Diesel Washington is still retired and because his blog is so chock full of info, opinions, etc we suggest you visit it to get the lowdown. It's always a must-read.
