Newcomer Alert: Samuel Colt
Earlier in the week we talked about jumping the gun a little bit with our look at newcomer Samuel Colt, the performer who is making his feature debut in Steve Cruz' upcoming Mustang flick Green Door. As it turns out we are not that premature since Steve's Green Door production diaries have begun on his blog and include a brief interview and mini-profile of Samuel Colt. Also on Twitter Troy Pickett, the director of promotions, casting, etc at Falcon announced that Samuel Colt had signed on as Mustang's first exclusive in three years. Lastly, we had also uncovered a few other Samuel Colt appearances so we figured that we might as well forge ahead.
One note here. We also had a brief communication with Samuel Colt before doing this "profile". You see, we are perfectly aware of his other work (including modeling) done under his real name and being the completists that we are and like to be, we would have included it here. However, we felt that we should check with Samuel Colt first. As it turns out, our instinctive assumption was the correct one--Samuel Colt would prefer us to keep his real name out of the profile and thus we have done just that.
As we mentioned, Green Door will be the first full length video to feature new Mustang exclusive
Samuel Colt but you can find previous video appearances on line and they should give you a good preview of what this ruggedly handsome, blue-eyed and masculine muscle stud is like. These first appearances are all in the more specialized "muscle worship" genre as follows.
Tom Lord Muscle. Tom Lord is definitely an acquired taste, even for those who are muscle worship afficianados. This older muscle man has been doing self-produced videos for awhile and aside from showing off his body and jacking on camera, he periodically will feature a co-star to "worship" him. One such video features Samuel Colt as Joe Bone. It features j/o in addition to the muscle flexing but nothing more intimate than that. The video has been put in a dvd titled "Dirty" and can be found in the site's store.
Muscle-Worship. Quite a few months ago Colt appeared at this established solo muscle worship site as "Max". The video has a rougher, leather-esque theme but it is still a solo. The publicity shot here is probably doesn't do "Max" any justice but this site is fairly difficult to navigate and you can't look over past videos in any sort of order--unless you join.
Jimmy Z Productions. Jimmy Z has been sponsoring live muscle shows for several years featuring the 'big guns" in the world of muscle erotica. These sold-out events have been held at the Faultline Bar in Los Angeles and have been made available on DVD at the official Jimmy Z site. The site has also been producing original content in the form of members-only solo muscle worship videos. More recently the videos have featured TWO performers that's where Samuel Colt comes in. He appears with adult star Tyler Saint in a three-part video that has been serialized at the site. The two videos already posted feature heavy-duty muscle worship graduating to mutual sucking and mild humping so we can assume the "finale" will feature the "climax" whatever form that takes.
That brings us to Green Door and as we mentioned the Green Door production diaries have begun at Steve Cruz' blog with some brief interviews and pics and a little info about the movie. This first entry was preceded by a fun behind-the-scenes video from The Sword featuring Steve, star Nash Lawler, and snippets of the other stars including Samuel Colt, Zak Spears, Alessio Romero, etc. From the blog we've got a good idea about this summer flick which does have a bit of a plot and some surreal elements similar to the other RGB flicks from Cruz & Gobo. Looks like lots of fun.
In addition to Green Door and future Mustang productions you'll also be able to see Samuel Colt in a few weeks in the August issue of Men Magazine. Great shots of course and another good indication that Colt has already created some buzz. You can count us in at Jack Manly in helping to create that buzz about sexy Samuel Colt.
A couple of final notes. We've reported that in spite of other print media suffering (and often folding) during the economic downturn and other factors, Unzipped Media keeps getting stronger. As we've noted before Men, Freshmen, Unzipped are usually spot on with their choices for model choices and the company has been quite good at featuring guys from online video sites.
Also Green Door features another newcomer Alessio Romero whom we met a few years ago and have been pals with well before he got into the biz. Recently he was one of the models at the Tom of Finland Erotic Art Fair we attended (see Erotic Art Fair Weekend) and it was great to get re-acquainted. Congratulations to Alessio for making it into the production of Green Door. How appropriate for this blog entry that Alessio Romero is paired up with Samuel Colt in the flick.
