Cocky Boys: Grabby Winner
The introduction of web-based categories to the GayVN Awards and the recent Grabby Awards was very welcome, especially where we're concerned. It meant that online video sites were finally getting the recognition they deserved for being such influential & integral parts of the gay adult biz. Naturally we're still hoping that the this gets expanded upon and we'll soon be seeing specific videos and more performers nominated. All that said, each of the nomineees in the "Web-Based Porn Site " deserved the honor and we would have been happy with any of them winning. But It was Cocky Boys that came out on top (so to speak). Quite an accomplishment for a site that has barely been around two years.
We've mentioned Cocky Boys on several occasions in the past so you all know exactly how strongly we feel about the site. CB has attracted some top-notch performers since it launched --both newcomers and those with experience online and in studio productions. Along the way stars have been born and in some ways re-born at Cocky Boys and it has rightfully moved into the top tier of online video websites.
In terms of stars, most recently Wolf Hudson signed on as a performer AND producer. As you probably know he won the online voting contest to be a co-host at the Grabbys and he took the honor seriously. It certainly elevated him from rising star status to full-fledged star.
One of Wolf Hudson's biggest supporters is porn auteur Jett Blakk who was doing more than his share in getting people to vote for Wolf as co-host. We were disappointed that his brilliant film Endgame only received one award, but Jett has kept going striong since. He's been doing videos for the new Nick Capra site and boy are they good. Attention, Nick Capra fans--this is the site you've been waiting for. Most recently we've found out that Jett Blakk is also doing videos for Cocky Boys! Now THAT is a great match-up. We've been interested in seeing more story-driven videos at online video sites. Maybe this is what Cocky Boys is planning and we can't wait.
