Dominic Ford: 3D WITHOUT The Glasses!
Dominic Ford has only been around for a few months and even in that short time that we've been following the site it's continued to evolve very nicely. We finally posted our review at Jack Manly this week just as Dominic Ford has issued a press release announcing another interesting development.
First, a recap. Dominic Ford is an online video site featuring hot guys (both newcomers and big name pros) in solo and guy-on-guy productions, well-photographed and in high-def. What separates Dominic Ford from the rest of the pack is that videos are available in both 3D and 2D versions. Dominic Ford has been releasing this videos on a weekly basis and in the process has made a few improvements in the 3D technology.
This week Dominic Ford announced it had reached another milestone: the release of the first 3D adult gay video that "requires no glasses and can be displayed on any monitor." Dominic Ford has re-released one video in this new format starring Blu Kennedy & Antton Harri in a flip-fuck scene. If the response to this new format is favorable Dominic Ford will release videos in both the traditional version (for use with red/blue glasses) and the new format as well as this new “glasses free” version.
The glasses-free version is actually a modern version of the stereoscope which dates back to the 19th century. In this 3D principle two images are shown side by side and by using your brain & eyes together the two images merge to form a 3D image. The benefit of this format (once you master it) is that the 3D video has exactly the same color has the original.
According to Dominic Ford, “Several of our members have asked us to release movies in this Glasses Free format. We have been experimenting with it, and are eager to see what our users think. Most importantly, this is a way for visitors to see our movies in 3D without requiring them to already have our 3D Glasses. In the end, whether users prefer to watch our movies in anaglyph format (with glasses) or in this Glasses Free format is their choice. We are a 3D company, and are committed to providing top-notch 3D content in any number of 3D formats, not just those requiring glasses.

But, in anaglyph format, his red hair doesn't’t come out clearly because of the color correction needed to make that format work. Dominic Ford has created a “How to View The Glasses Free Format” instructional page along with links to the Glasses Free content. Anyone can download the preview to try it out. The full versions of the movies are only available to subscribers.
We tried it out and it did take a minimum of effort & practice. Think of that "magic eye" 3D art from the 1990s where if you stared at a piece of carefully conceived abstract in just the right way you would see a 3D image emerge. Be sure & check it out.
