Best Ethnic
  The good thing about this category is that it gives many of these high quality productions another chance to win awards. You'll find several of the nominees sprinkled in the other categories but here they're more apt to get their due. Our favorites here are technically feature a variety of guys so they probably don't perfectly fit the category. We've talked before about Blackballed 6: Under the Hood (All Worlds), Black Meat White Heat (All Worlds), and Roman's Holiday (Falcon) but when it came to deciding between the three we had a harder time. All three have gorgeous guys of all kinds, the stories and plots are all different, and all feature exceptionally hot scenes. For all-out sexual fun we'd pick Blackballed 6, for something more serious Black Meat White Heat, and for a delicious dose of Euro-Latin love it's Roman's Holiday.

 This category proves that sometimes some of the best movies are produced overseas and feature guys whom you don't know. Chances are too that the guys here will get snatched up by US studios. That's why the major studios are producing and/or distributing the films in this category. Each of these are all good but our tastes run pretty closely to Collin O'Neal which is why we're choosing East Berlin from his World Of Men series. A close second would be the High Octane production Masters and Servants which features an interesting fetish-y premise without being too heavy. No Rest In This Room (Alexander Pictures) has more of a guilty pleasure vibe about it (it takes place in a mall restroom) and if you're into hot South American men, this is quite a buffet. For those interested in younger guys Freach Kiss (Bel Ami), Suite Dreams (Titan Men Fresh), and Indecent Proposals (Falcon International) are probably more to your liking.

  No question about it---this category is specialized. We don't even know if we could call it an "acquired taste"--you either have an interest or you don't. Frankly, we've only seen a couple of the flicks in this category, more out of curiosity than anything else. And yes we'll say it--you have to "hand" it to those who do the fisting videos who put it all on the line. For something really out of the ordinary we appreciate the fact that Raging Stallion started its Fetish Force imprint with Sounding #1. If you can overlook the "ouch" factor this is strangely fascinating. But since we didn't see enough of the videos in this category we have no pick.

  After looking over the previous category, this one seems remarkably tame. In some ways many of the nominated videos here are pretty tame from a fetish perspective. Nevertheless all of these nominees have at least one thing that makes them memorable.
 The dilemma voters may have is that Titan Men has two "Folsom" films and they might cancel each other out. We enjoyed Folsom Prison more than Folsom Undercover mostly because the former seemed more cohesive (and it featured hot Diesel Washington) Raging Stallion has three diverse entries with Jock Itch 2: Balls To The Walls, Maximus, and The 4th Floor and all have their own fetish moments. Jock Tease (Jet Set) probably is the most fun with its athletic theme. After all is said and done we appreciate a video that seems like a complete story so our pick is Folsom Prison.

  Ah comedy. Sometimes we think some videos qualify for this category by being unintentionally laughable. And if you're trying to sell sex it may be advisable not to put too much humor in a video (or drama for that matter). But the videos in this category all keep it light without going overboard. Grindass House (Dirty Bird Pictures) and The Twink Whisperer (PZP) get bonus points for hilarious titles. Big Dick Society (Jet Set Men) and Measure Up (Rascal) use size as their theme although big endowments are often no laughing matter.Jock Tease is perhaps more aptly placed in this category. Our pick though is Paging Dr. Finger (Hot House Entertainment). It's got a title we can chuckle at and it's got good hospital satire--oh yeah and a hot, sexy cast.

   While we watched the videos in this category we decided we couldn't really be fair since again this genre isn't something we usually peruse. Nevertheless we'd like to see either Brent Corrigan videos win--Brent Corrigan's Summit (Prodigy Pictures) or Just The Sex 2 (Prodigy Pictures). The reason? Well, aside from the fact that they're both good a win by Brent might add some drama to the awards.

  Okay we shouldn't be such sticklers but shouldn't an "all-sex" video be plot-free? All the movies in this category are terrific, BUT....three of them have a backstory and/or plot. We're not calling foul here or anything but consistency should be the order of the day if one is to take these things seriously. Blackballed 6 has the slimmest of backstories but it exists nonetheless. As we learned from Steve Cruz he never intended to film Hotter Than Hell 2 as a "part 2". It's spare on story but the story exists nonetheless. Telescope definitely has a plot and it's a bit of a disservice to star Diesel Washington's role to suggest otherwise. Blue Movie, The 4th Floor, and Trunks 5 are all the direct opposite. The scenes in each are bound together by a theme or location, but for us Blue Movie stands out. It's creative, sexy, memorable, and unique.

  Let's just say up front that we think To The Last Man will win this, hands down. We've reviewed To The Last Man and mentioned it countless times before and many of you have seen it so there's no real need to say much more except that it does deserve the honors it has received. That said it doesn't diminish the quality of any of the other films here so we're here to give them their due as nominees: 

 Best Men 1 /Best Men 2. We're very glad that the Grabbys put the two parts of this video together as one nomination because neither could exist without the other. Both parts have some exceptionally hot scenes that compensate for those few lapses of amateur acting and it has a story that is fun and reasonably believable.  

 Blackballed 6: Under the Hood. Consider this video one extended sex scene featuring a collection of the hottest guys ever assembled. Even if you aren't the type that goes for orgy scenes this might convince you otherwise.

 Black Meat White Heat. There are a variety of themes going on here including race, class, and generational differences and they all fit together pretty well. It may seem a little dated in certain regards but it overcomes this with some sizzling hot sex scenes.

 Endgame. Another movie that we are still thinking about. It's billed as Chad Hunt's final role and his first as a bottom but there's so much more to this film than that. You want to see how story & sex can be married together perfectly? Jett Blakk shows how it's done and seemingly in an effortless fashion.

 Home Invasion. Joe Gage again shows that he hasn't lost his touch with this all-star flick that is well-acted and remarkably believable considering it's semi-elaborate plot and number of characters. Oh yes, and it's lots of fun. 

 Hung Country for Young Men. This one goes beyond its clever title to do a pretty interesting semi-parody of the award-winning mainstream film. Loaded with sexy drama and some very hot men, this one delivers heat in virtually every scene.

 Paging Dr. Finger. If all hospitals were this much sexy fun, everyone would want be admitted. So many hot guys, so many hot scenes you might find it hard to choose a favorite. So don't bother. Just enjoy the doctor fantasy.

 The Drifter. Sure, it's a little lengthy and perhaps a little padded. You may find it a little overly dramatic. But at its heart it's a touching love story about men finding their way to be together. If it sounds drab and you pass on it, you'll be denying yourself some of the hottest sex scenes of the year.
