Burning Desires: The Review
For those who don't like a plot-laden adult flick but want something more that than hardcore sex without foreplay or passion Falcon has the answer--Burning Desires. It's an all-sex flick with hot match-ups in scenarios that are brimming with chemistry and heat designed to satisfy any viewer. You might find that Burning Desires is a little heavy-handed with the romantic clichés and set-ups but the film apologetically celebrates it. It even throws in a few little twists to keep it interesting. After all is said and done it might put you in the mood to reintroduce seduction into your sexual fun.
Burning Desires scene one features Luke Hass lighting the candelabra and pouring the white wine for his paramour Tory Mason (this "setting the mood" touch will be used again for the final scene) Luke & Tory feed each other chocolate-covered strawberries (told you it was corny) then strip down, smooch it up to have some table-top sex. Lest you think it's as vanilla as a shampoo commercial Luke adds a little kink to the priming of Tory's cute butt before topping him. There's no other way to put this--Tory Mason loves getting fucked and this scene is no exception. We wonder how many guys have decided to bottom after seeing him enjoy it so much.
Aden & Jordan Jaric are business-suited beaus who reach the top of the stairs in the mansion and start to kiss and undress. They retreat to an upstairs parlor where they use a couple of overstuffed chairs to penetrate mutually penetrate the depths of their relationship. Yep--it's a flip-flop scene and though these two probably have done it with each other every which way in real life they still make it seem new. Actually they do something pretty new---they wind up having a three-way with a double-headed before exploding and kissing it up again. Once again the Jarics demonstrate that real-life off camera chemistry can make for very hot onscreen sex. Not every couple can do that but the Jarics have mastered it.
Can playing a game of cards (not strip poker) while sipping snifters of brandy be a prelude to sex? That's what the third scene with Nash Lawler & Spencer Stone would have you believe. When their eyes meet from across the table it's just a matter of seconds before they kiss and get down to it. Spencer at first acts more like Nash's valet when he strips him down and services him. Knowing Nash Lawler's confirmed top status we know where this is headed but Lawler does do a fair amount of oral reciprocation beforehand. The two guys do it on the ottoman--rather energetically and with some loud vocals by Spencer Stone. Because the sex is restricted to the relatively small ottoman, the scene made not seem as romantic as the others (and more acrobatic). Plus , it makes you realize than none of the couples (so far) took to the bed for their steamy sex. One last note about this one and it's really just a continuity problem. The fire in the fireplace is sometimes lit, sometimes not.
The final scene in Burning Desires is between Roman Heart & Leo Giamani and it's one we've reviewed before (see Pick of The Week: Burning Desires)-- but it's worth mentioning again. Roman is the guy setting up the romance here for Leo in more ways than one. It goes from a champagne-sipping bubble bath to the four poster bed (yes finally the bed!) As we mentioned before Roman & Leo look great and seem very compatible. One of the things we liked about this scene on repeated viewings is that Roman Heart seems to be good for Leo Giamani in terms of prodding him to be more intimate. Leo may still need to working on his kissing a bit more but he seems more physically connected to Roman and the scene's romantic tone.
Director John Bruno uses his straightforward and natural style effectively here. When kinkier elements are introduced into several of the scenes it's handled very smoothly and is not visually jarring. Thus the whole veneer of passion & romance isn't cracked.
The feel of warmth and intimacy we found in Burning Desires is also due to the efforts of videographers Brad Austin and Adam Killian. We don't know who filmed what, but we have gotten to recognize Killian's style and he has a real gift for adding another layer of visual sensuality to a scene. We're not sure how he does it but we're pretty sure he has an instinctive eye.
